Re: Benefits of PGDCA in MCA No. PGDCA is Post Graduate level course. However, you can do DOEACC courses starting with Foundation O level course. |

Re: Benefits of PGDCA in MCA Why IT, you join teaching profession. Do B.Ed instead or look out for LL.B because you are PG in Literature and you are not supposed to waste time in getting technical degrees. By the time you'll complete your degree, your age will bar you from joining any such post you are looking at present. Continue with what you are doing or join B.Ed. For IT field, the proper route is PGDCA followed by MCA. |

Re: Benefits of PGDCA in MCA Hi, I have done my graduation in BA and also done HW & NW from jetking institute. right now will doing job in cognizant technology solution pvt.ltd as Technical Support Engineer but there is some problem if i have IT qualification then its better for me so my friend told me just do PGDAC from distance in any good university then do MCA also in distance it is good for me????? please tell me and 2 thing is that distance learning is consider in IT or MNC company's???? please suggest me what should i do for making career in IT Thanks & Regards Nikhil Patil |

Re: Benefits of PGDCA in MCA hi As a MCA aspirants you gonna study everything in IT field. PGDCA stands for post graduate diploma in computer application and it will teach you the basic practical things in basics of computers only.not like mca. MCA graduates gonna be a software developer,so you should think about in higher position and pgdca ill never helps you anything unless you dont have computer knowledge. MCA carees a weightage by programming languages,software engineering, testing,architecture,etc.. courses like java,dotnet,software testing,etc will carries more weightage marks while you attending interview and while you works in IT industries. Different university have their own criteria but many university give lateral entry to the students who have done PGDCA. So, Without any doubt complete your PGDCA and then try in any university for lateral entry scheme in MCA. I give one example like sikkim manipal university distance education give lateral entry to the student having PGDCA direct in second or third semester. And the PGDCA syllabus is similar to I & II sem of MCA in SMUDE. So, its a great benifit to you. Its good to join MCA course. After some exprience you will earn better pay scale. Good luck |
