Re: What to do after diploma in Electronics and Communication engineering? You can apply for the jobs however not likely to find any good salary job with the diploma course. In government sector there is option of applying job in Public Sector Undertaking. However my recommendation would be continue with the studies. You can apply for the Bachelor of Technology course which I believe will be perfect for you. The jobs after completing B.Tech would be far better paid even the PSUs. Since you are diploma holder, it gives you opportunity to complete Bachelor of Technology through lateral entry program. The diploma holders are eligible to take admission for B.Tech course through lateral entry scheme which means direct admission in the second year of the B.Tech course. In my opinion you should complete B.Tech in the same stream which is Electronics and Communications. It is one of the best engineering streams and offer jobs in various fields including Telecom, Information Technology, Public Sector Undertaking etc. The admission for lateral entry is given through entrance exam known as Lateral Entry Engineering Test. You can appear for this exam if scored 60 percent marks in the diploma course. The LEET entrance exam is conducted in various states in India. Unfortunately it does not offer admission into IITs or NITs. In fact there is no provision to take lateral entry admission in these institutes. You also have the option to appear for other entrance exams. Some are even conducted by private colleges. Some private colleges like to conduct their separate entrance exam. |

Hello friend, As you have completed your diploma course in ECE , you can now try for lateral entry in a B.Tech college.I think this is the best option or else if you need a job you can go for a job but you won't get good salary. |

BE Computer Science but 6 papers arrears still.. i am not interested to finish it.. and also i dnt hv any knowledge of software. i have not worked in any company. i became lazy. is there any hope to get a job. but i dnt have any experience and no touch with subjects what i studied. help me i want good job and salary |

After diploma you can apply for the lateral entry admission in different Govt and private colleges. For the lateral admission to the B.Tech course you have to apply for lateral entry entrance tests.. There are different lateral entrance tests in different states,like JELET in West Bengal.. You can become a Computer Engineer, Computer Operator, Electrical Engineer, Junior Net Consultant,etc. in various government departments of India. Do read newspapers for advertisements of such posts in future. |

Since you have completed diploma in 2003, you could have forgotten what you have studied 8 years back. So refresh you subject knowledge. You can pursue B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering. You can either do it as a lateral entry in a college or part-time studies. After that if you can go for any job and can do any course like Embedded system, VLSI Design,etc., There are a lot of opportunities for Electronics and Communication Engineers in the field of Design and Communication systems. |

Many government and private college provide B.Tech course after completing diploma courses. For the admission in engineering you have to appear in the entrance test conducted by various state/University. You can also apply in the final year of diploma courses. You can apper in the many entrance exam conducted by government/University like. AIEEE, JELET, KIITEEE, VITEEE..and many other state entrance exam. Few private institute provide direct admission on the basis of aggregate marks in diploma like IGNOU, Millia Institute of Technology, Mangalyatam college of engineering and many other institute are available for this purpose. Now, I have earned 16 year experiance as technician telecommunication and got diploma in electronics and telecommunication with 71.10% from 1 STC, Jabalpur and also got PGDM(HRM&PM) Certificate from BIMM, PUNE with 69 % through distance learning programme. I am a 36 year old solder likely to be released from Army within a year. Let me know which course should I pursue to get a better job in civil sector, please. |

You can do job after complete your diploma. but you should go to the b.tech degree. this is the field in which you can make your future more secure. if you have good percentage in your diploma then you can enter direct in a good engineering college in second year. You have no need to give any entrance exam, direct you can go to college. There are many field in this stream they are:- c c++ java visual basic .net html and x html etc. if you have some mood of higher study then you can do to m.tech after completing your b.tech. best of luck. |

So, according to me B.tech course is the best option.. After that you can get a good job. else you can go for the higher study... So, first go B.tech course.. For that you have to appear in lateral entry exam.. By which you can take admission in the second year of B.tech directly.. All the best. |
