Re: What is the difference between state board and CBSE board? If I pass state boad and then prepare for IIT JEE will I be at loss?

Both the boards are mostly equal but if you study from CBSE board you will have advantage as the syllabus of CBSE. and the entrance exam is same it will help you to clear your concepts and you can also score well in the entrance as well as the boards
While if you select state board you will have to prepare for both the state bboard exam as well as the entrance exam

Re: What is the difference between state board and CBSE board? If I pass state boad and then prepare for IIT JEE will I be at loss?

CBSE Board stands for Central Board for Secondary Education. It governs through Delhi while every state has its own board called State Board like UP Board, MP Board, Rajasthan Board, etc. It is mostly heard that State Board is harder than CBSE Board. This is because the things that a student study in the State Board differs from that of CBSE Board.

In State Board, everything is mentioned in detail that's why a student faces difficulty and scores less in board exams. But if he manages and understands each and every concept clearly, then he would not face any problem in qualifying competitive exams like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, etc.

Hence, it would be better for you to pass 10+2 exams with State Board. It will help you alot.

hi i m Rama

i have 2kids both studying in cbse.i feel cbse would be ideal choice for ur kid as at elementary level she will have very less difficulty in adjusting to this board.the child has to learn second language from class 1 onward.since ur husband has a transferable job u can opt for hindi as a second language as it is available all over country.main advantage of studying in cbse board is it helps child to prepare for competitive exams.

wish u good luck.

I know you are very entwined and serious about your future studies.
So, thanks to you for giving us chance to reply your questions.
And sorry .... Its late.
So, in my view the State board is difficult than that of CBSE. But i don't mean that you should take CBSE. By my opinion , you must take State board. Its because , many students from state board are IITians and are easily qualified for IIT. For IIT it is very important to know basics of maths and science and should have all the detail study of all chapters given in these subject books. In state board all the subjects are given in detail. So we will talk about science and maths that their chapters are in detail for deeper understanding.whereas in CBSE, the subjects especially we are talking about are not in detail. There is only short information for students to understand simply or lightly but not deeply , you know what i mean.
So , my suggest is for you to study hard . And if you are from CBSE so study more hard.
So, bye......... And take care of your studies and tell us your result.
And don't worry , say

Hai friend.

IIT-JEE is the toughest exam.

some tips for your preparation are:

i)Prepare an Efiicient Time-table according to your convinience by looking into syllabus sheet alleast 2 months before.

ii)Get up daily at 4'0 clk and read daily one topic thoroughly.

iii)Prepare a self notes by writing all important points which you get while reading.

iv) Revice all the thing for every one week so that you won't forget.

if you follow above steps then definitely sucess is your's.

All The Best

yes, you will have a little disadvantage which make a huge curve in your future studies because the question pattern of IIT JEE is purely based on CBSE syllabus. The major entrance examination for e.g. iit jee or AIEEE ETC it will be based on CBSE syllabus not from state or icse or igcse.

Re: What is the difference between state board and CBSE board? If I pass state boad and then prepare for IIT JEE will I be at loss?

STATE BOARD:

State Board schools are the schools which follow a certain syllabus approved by state government. In exams all questions are totally from book and just by hearting the things in books. Most of the time you don't even need to understand the concepts in books.

CBSE:

CBSE schools are the schools which follows the syllabus approved by central government. In exams most of the questions are outside the book. Books are just to understand the concepts and mugging up from the books will become useless at the time of exam.

For appearing in IIT JEE exam 12th pass is enough and whether your from state board or central board it doesn't matter. But if you are from CBSE you must study more from outside the syllabus and it will be helpful while you prepare for IIT exam.

Re: What is the difference between state board and CBSE board? If I pass state boad and then prepare for IIT JEE will I be at loss?

There is no difference between to be a 12 passed student whether it is from state or cbse board .IIT is a nationalised exam so its syllabus mostly concerned with the cbse board that is the only advantage of being a cbse student. Although, to crack IIT doesn't depend on the type of board, state or cbse ,it is totally depend on your mode of preparation ,will and your hard work and determination...

Re: What is the difference between state board and CBSE board? If I pass state boad and then prepare for IIT JEE will I be at loss?

Dear friend

90% of state boards are tougher than cbse as the have a very strict marking. So until or unless your stateboard is in the rest 10% you should opt for cbse board because even an average student can score 75-85% marks in cbse board
and regaurding companies they dont care about your board if your grades are good
students genrally preffer cbse over state board because of its lineant marking and its updated syllabus which helps students in their college.

Both state board and Central board have their own benifits.
