Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?

Hi

Scope of engineering is very bright in India because its still in developing phase.
As far as branches are concerned each and every branch is a good branch in itself
You should go for branch where your interest lie and with which you would like to work in your future.

Following are the core branches of Engineering
- Electrical
- Mechanical
- Chemical
- Civil
- Mining
- Metallurgy

These days electronics and computer science are also included in core branches as nothing can be done without it.

But whatever branch you choose, make sure to do it from well reputed college which has good campus placement record.

All the best

Engineering is as volatile as the market and there are always ups and downs for a particular branch or for all the engineering branches. However in the coming future engineers are going to be a great asset.

As far as India is concerned, the Computer Science is the branch that would be gaining maximum acceleration incoming years.

Accoring to my point of view, There are only 4 branches and also known as the mother of all engineering.

The four branches are given as :

1) CIVIL Engg.

2) Mechanical Engg.

3) Electrical Engg.

4) Information Technology.

In the above there are total 4 branches, described as below.

1) Civil engg. : Civil engg. are also related to the archetectural branch. Civil engg. are also related to design and drawing. So, it is common as archetectural and construction design and drawing.

2) Mechanical Engg. : Mechanical engg. are related to Automobile and aeronutical Engg. The machinary work and Machine spare parts works are done in mechanical field. So, Mechanical engg. is common as Aeronutical and Automobile.

3) Electrical Engg. : It also deals with the electronic, electronics and communication, Instrumentation engg. So, it generate all the above given engg.

4) Information Technology : The 4rt one and last one is Infrmation technology. IT engg. related to the computer science, and software and hardware also. so, it generate these all engg.

Thus, the above engg. are common engg, who generate all the other engg.

Thank you.

Hi dear,

Mainly there are 4 branches of engineering.

Civil & architecture,mechanical,electrical and chemical.

OF which mechanical explores the world, because engineering like (aeronautical, automobile, tools and instrumentations etc are derived branches of mechanical engineering)with there tremendous scope in todays market.

Further, electrical engineering is known as mother of all engineering. Engineering likr(computer, electronics, robotics etc are derived branches of electrical engineering, with apromiseing career.

FURTHER, Civil & architecture had a endless scope. Engineering like (construture etc are derived branches of this engineering.
ALL engineering holds there own position,wIth a promising career.

Thanks

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?

Engineering can be defined as:

Quote:
The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property.
Seeing the present scenario TELECOM, COMPUTER are in great heights, CHEMICAL, IP are some of the branches which will see an uplift in coming years and about PRODUCTION, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, CIVIL, they are ever green branches.

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?

the present scenario....we can only predict that....in coming few years...
telecom, electrical, civil, are some of the branches which can see a uplift....
and about...production,mechanical,computer...they are ever green branches....

some predictions also say that bio tech...has got large scope in future but no one knows when is it going to come .........
best of luck

ECE branch is surely going to grow and stay in the next 4-5 years..
in ECE..communications is the stream which is going to be in a hot demand in the near future..as right now it is just budding..but in the next 4-5 years..it will be in hot demand..

next i would rate nanotechnology which is going to grow in the next few years..

hope this helps..

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?

mechanical engineering branch will grow fastly in future.for todays and for coming 10 years it's no doubt Civil will remain on top. Its best to choose Civil. There is a boom in real estate and Infrastructure in India and lack of civil engineers.you can work either in government sector or in private sector. As per current situation software market is very booming , so you can choose CSE,IT as your career sector.

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?

dear friend,
There is a phrase that "Engineers are never dies in starvation"..
you will definitely get a job after doing graduation in engineering... there are two types of branch-
1.core branch
2.software branch
the core branches are-
a. Mechanical
b.Electrical
c.Electronics and communication
d.Civil
the software branches are-
a.Computer science
b.Information Technology

now, it is your interest that in which field you want to go and where you can excel yourself..
the IT market is now booming so, you can take computer science rather than IT..
also you can take Electronics and communication..
if you have more interest in core field then go for Mechanical , or electrical..

All the best..

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?

Hi
In my opinion the branches like mechanical, chemical, automobile, textile, fire, electrical, fasion technology, civil, biotechnology will boost up with in 3 year as the requirement of engineers from these branches will increase rapidly and in current most of the student doing engineering in cs,it, ec and those field are entirely different from these field.

so those who are going to take admission in the next sesssion keep above branches in mind.

Dear friend,
Now today every person have very confusion related to this question.
So there are 4 top branches 1- civil 2- Electrical engineering 3- Mechanical 4- electronic and instrumentation because if all of these branches have government jobs like NTPC,BHEL, oil company,HAL ,IFFCO and many other private company.

i would advice you to go with your passion because no branch is bad in today's world ,
if you are good in your field then surely there is no shortage of jobs .
if you take an branch which you really don't like then you are not going to be an successful even in that field because only having an degree in any particular subject does not guarantee success you got to have passion for that field also

dear friend,

If u want to get quick job then engineering is the best scheme.

after doing Btech u can join in Mtech after that u have a bright future, u can get good job. also u can go for many lines from engineering, like MBA.

if u have interest in computers then go for Computer Sc., IT.

if u have interest in core branch then u can take ECE, Electrical,Mechanical.

I will suggest u to go for core branch..Bcz after competion of ur graduation u can apply for govt. job as well as for private jobs..

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?

The core branches
electrical, mechanical and civil etc.

you'd think why?? computers n IT sector is the best growth oriented sector still why CORE branches are the ones you'd go for.

See, the IT companies, like INFOSYS, TCS etc. etc. when conduct's interviews, they don't go for only IT students which they should since they are IT based companies.. Instead all the branches are allowed to sit.

Now let's come to the core companies and public sector companies and PSU's..
they conduct interviews only for the respective branches.. you're getting my point? That BHEL is only for electricals, ASHOKA LEYLAND is only for mechanical with a few exeptions..

so if you're a core student then you can go for IT sector and core sector but if you're an IT student, there's only one feild for you, IT.

THINK ABOUT IT
