Hello,
Eligibility

1. You should complete 12th PCM from a recognized board.

2. At least 50 percent marks in 12th standard.

3. Age limit for Commerical pilot course is 18 to 28 years.

Physical Requirement

Height

You should be at least 5 feet tall

Eyesight

The requirement is 6/6 vision. However candidates wearing
glasses can also apply only if their eyes are correctable to 20/20
for distance view and 20/40 for near vision.
Please note that the contact lense and lasik surgery are not allowed.

Procedure

Step 1 - Student’s Pilot Licence

The first step is to obtain Student's Pilot Licence. You can
apply for it after completing 10th standard. Your age should
be at least 16 years to obtain the licence. To do so you will
have to appear for written test on mathematics. The questions
would be related to aircrafts. You will have to score 75 marks out
of 100 to pass the test and obtain the licence.

Step 2 - Private Pilot Licence

Your real training will start in the second step. Before you can get
Private Pilot Licence, you will be given flying lessons. You will require
at least 40 hours of flying experience with instructor and 20 hours of
solo flying experience. Apart from it there will be written test which is
conducted by the DGCA.

Step 3 - Commercial Pilot Licence

The last stage to become pilot is to obtain Commercial Pilot Licence.
At least 250 hours of flying experience is required. Following which
you will have to appear for written tests on Air Regulations, Aviation
Meteorology, Air Navigation. The written tests would be followed by
medical test after which you will get commercial licence.

Re: I want to become a pilot but i wear spectacles of (-1.5)

there is no problem if you wear -3.0 number in your eyes.
as far as your eyes are 6/6 you can join Indian Air force or can become pilot.

Re: I want to become a pilot but i wear spectacles of (-1.5)

yes you can definitely get a CPL if your vision is correctable to 20/20 by using contact lenses or spectacles, but but but i have checked on the criteria which different airliners(airindia and the rest) set for their pilots:
1 it should be perfect 20/20 without any corrective lenses
2 they should be graduates
just live being graduate is not mandatory for getting a CPL but airlines ask for it, similarly you can have get a CPL with glasses but finding a job will be difficult.

Re: I want to become a pilot but i wear spectacles of (-1.5)

you do not need perfect eyesight to become a Commercial Pilot. As long as your eyesight can be corrected to near normal then you can hold the Commercial Pilot licence.however
you know what a pilot job is and why it asks for a perfect eyesight..try to get your eyesight corrected if that is possible for you, then you are on for pilot or else try in some other prospering field..

Dear Friend

Yes, You cannot become pilot. Since u have Spectacles.

But you can become an areonotical engg. who can built a airoplane. If you are interested in aerospace only you can join the engg and then u shall find many ways to work in the field.

Best of luck
