Re: Criteria for Civil Services Prelims exam? Dear Friend, The Civil Services Exam is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission [UPSC]. The Exam is conducted in three phases : 1) Preliminary Examination 2) MAINS Examination 3) Interview Test The Eligibility Criteria is set for The Civil services Exam by the UPSC not for the Civil Services Preliminary Exam individually. So , The eligibility Criteria For Civil Services exam are : * The minimum educational qualification required is graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. * If you are in final year of graduation are also eligible for the exam. * The Age Limit for Civil Services Exam :  * The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. The Civil Services Exam is one of the toughest examinations conducted by the UPSC and the candidate needs to pass all the three examinations. Re: Criteria for Civil Services Prelims exam? you should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.AGE CRITERIA:For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years. |

Age 21-30 years for GEN category candidates 21-33 years for OBC category candidates 21-35 years for SC/ST/PD candidates There are other parameters too like citizenship criteria, medical fitness criteria for certain services.
