Combined Defence Service There are three papers in CDS written exam for Indian Military Academy Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.Every individual paper is of 100 marks and duration of every paper is 2 hours. 1.English 2.General Knowledge 3.Elementary Math For Officers’Training Academy- There are only two objective type papers.every individual paper is 100 marks. 1. English 2. General Knowledge Books for CDS-- English:-Arihant publication by S.C.Gupta,R.S.Agrawal & Vikas Agrawal,S.P.Bakshi. G.K:- some magzine like I succed,Competition in focus,Pratiyogita darpan,Competition success review. Elementary Math:- CDS math by R.S.Agrawal or Arihant Publication. Re: Previous years question papers for combined defence service? The CDS exam is going to be held on 12th February 2012. If you are looking for previous year question papers then i would recommend you to purchase CDS book of Upkar's.That book contains 10 years of question papers. Details of CDS are:- As you above mentioned that you are a B.Tech student you have a great chance to go in Navy or Air force. For Naval Academy:-Unmarried male candidate born not earlier than 2nd january,1991(2nd January 1989 in case of NCC naval wing "C" certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1994. Educational qualification:-Bsc or Bachelor of Engineering. For Air force Academy:-Unmarried male candidate born not earlier than 2nd January 1990 and not later than 1st January 1994. Educational Qualification:-degree of recognized University(with Physics & Math at 10+2)or Bachelor of Engineering. For IMA:-Unmarried male candidate born not earlier than 2nd January 1989 and not later than 1st January 1994. Educational Qualification:-degree of recognized university. There will be 3 papers of 2 hours each namely English for 100 marks Math’s for 100 marks General knowledge for 100 marks. I can attach some previous papers of CDS. |

From the Home Page, click the link Previous Years Question Papers and then select the exam and paper of your interest. Upto three years of question papers are available in this website. All the best. |

Minimum qualification for this examination is bachelor's degree or bachelor's of degree in engineering in any desire subject of a recognized University or equivalent qualification.Age limits for this examination is 19 years and 25 years at the time of appearing for this examination and there is no upper age limits for this examination and the age limits differ from service to service from CDS examination.The examination is conducted for admission to the various defence services like Indian Military Academy,Naval Academy,Air force Academy and Officer Training Academy.
