Re: Joining defense forces after completing graduation if I am a girl? There are two modes of entry for women cadets, university entry level and technical entry level. Your age should be between 19-22 years. Lady Officers proceed for training after clearing the CDSC exam and SSB and medical examination to Officers Training Academy. They get commissioned into the various Arms and Services of the Indian Army after 49 weeks training. For the eligibility part, they need to be a graduate to apply. According to the revised conditions of Service of SSCOs (Men and Women both Technical and Non-Technical), tenure of Short Service Commission in Army will be granted for 14 years. On completing two years’ service, they pick up the rank of Captain followed by Major on completion of 6 years’ service. After 13 years of service, they pick up the rank of LT.Col. |

Re: Joining defense forces after completing graduation if I am a girl? hi friend.. gender does not make a difference in applying it for army..but for girls they cant join after passing class 12.. they can join after graduation with minimum of55%.. for that the age limit is 21 to 29.. but most importantly you should be physically fit.. so since your eye sight is poor you may not be selected for that reason.. so better you try for something else then these one.. hope these helps you thank you.. |

Re: Joining defense forces after completing graduation if I am a girl? Sorry, but girls candidate are not allowed for NDA exam. You can join other defence service such as air force. Girls are also not allowed for military academy. |

The selection comprises of two phases ...1) written exam and 2) interview. For your written phase you have the following syllbus- a)gen. studies i.e- history, geography, polity., gen. science, current affairs. b)gen. english 2) The interview comprises - personal intro,screening, group discussion, confrence. 3) MEDICAL |

Age 19 to 24 yrs Likely SSB Date Sep / Oct and Mar / Apr Short Service Commission Non Technical Men Qualification Graduation from Recognised University. Age 19 to 25 yrs Likely SSB Date Oct / Nov and July / Aug Eye Sight - 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.So if you can get around this then definitely you are eligible... |

Re: Joining defense forces after completing graduation if I am a girl? Since you are a girl certainly you cant join the NDA. You can only join through the OTA scheme. But physical fitness is important. Your eyesight should meet the requirements of 6/6. You can visit the defense site to check out requirements. |

Re: Joining defense forces after completing graduation if I am a girl? hi there is various position for this i will give below:--- graduation entry:-- ------------------ Individuals between the age of 19 and 22 and having a three year Bachelor degree, can appear for the Combined Defense Services Exam (CDSC), which is held every 6 months at various centers in India. Again like the NDA process, there will be a SSB interview and a medical examination. On clearing these, individual is straight away enlisted into the Indian Military Academy (if he opts for the Army), without entering NDA, and get trained there for 18 months after which, get a commissioned rank. technical entry:-- ------------------- Individuals having an engineering degree, can apply for direct commission. He can directly appear for the SSB interview and medical exam. If cleared them, he will be paid a stipend by the Indian Government during his senior years. After completing the degree, you are straight away enlisted into the Air Force Training Academy in Hyderabad (if you opt for the Air Force), without entering NDA, with a commissioned rank or in Army, ie., through IMA. Naval College of Engineering, Lonavala prepares officers to make a career in Marine/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering and Naval Architecture cadres of the Indian Navy. The college is one of the best engineering colleges in the country and the only one of its kind in Asia. Unmarried male Indian citizens approx. between 16 1/2 years to 19 years of age, passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) pattern or ots equivalent with at least 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and at least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII may apply. Minimum 157 height with correlated weight and proportionate chest with minimum 5 cm expansion; uncorrected eyesight without glasses 6/12, 6/12 corrected with glasses 6/6, 6/6 are other requirements. Short listed candidates on the basis of the marks obtained in the academic examination are called for the SSB interview. Candidates recommended by the board and declared medically fit will be appointed for training in order of merit. On successful completion of the course they are awarded a B. Tech. Degree by the JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University). The entire cost of training including books and reading material, is borne by the Navy. good luck................ |

Joining defense forces after completing graduation if I am a girl? I want to join the indian defence forces. I have 91.33% marks in pcm,but my eyesight is weak . Can i join the forces after grad. Or the nda? I am a girl |
