for english MA in jnu you need to be extremely good with not only your language usage but also your concepts. read literary theory and literary criticism very very very well. also literature in English other than british, like african, african-american, australian, canadian and indian writing in english and theory of indian aesthetics. that should do. but you must prepare for the entrance along with the previous yrs questions. the exam is very tough, and the entry rate is very very low, around 16 out of 1000 submitted copies are considered. you would be competing with the BEST colleges from all over india. all the best. if you make it, consider yourself one of the best brains in south east asia. period. its that hard.
