Re: Best books for preparation for CWE exam? Bank Po Jobs are in good demand these days. Day by day, the number of candidates who are going to apply for these Bank PO Exams are going on increasing. The selection procedure for bank PO position is by -Written test -Interview The written test consists of various questions from -Reasoning -Quantitative Aptitude -General Awareness -General English -Computer Knowledge In addition there is one descriptive test apart from the objective questions. One should have to secure qualifying marks in all the sections in order to get through the written exam. In addition, there will be negative marking for wrong answers. For Reasoning and Aptitude, you can use R.S.Agarwal publications which is the best book for bank exams. You can understand the question and should be able to solve the question easily by practicing the various questions in this book. For General Awareness, I suggest you to use BSC (Banking Services Chronicle) magazine and current affairs by YES publications. In addition to these books, update your knowledge by going through daily news papers. For General English, you can use any book which is available in the market and which is good for Vocabulary, Comprehension and most importantly the Grammar aspects. |

Re: Best books for preparation for CWE exam? CWE (Common Written Exam) conducted by IBPS for 19 public sector banks twice in a year. The applicants for these exams are very huge. And the no. of candidates that will be selected is much less as compared to the no. of applicants. So a candidate has to prepare himself/herself very well so that they get qualified in the written exam and get the minimum cut off marks in each sections. The sections in IBPS CWE exams are: 1. General Intelligence 2. English 3. Numerical Ability 4. Computer Knowledge 5. General Awareness with special reference to banking industry. In PO exam, the syllabus is totally same, but there is one more extra paper of descriptive type, where one has to write paragraph/essay/letter/report/precis/comprehension. Now, we can get many books in the market which contains all the papers together i.e all in one roof. Name of such books are: Kiran's IBPS Bank PO/MT CWE Practice Work Book. UPSC PORTAL CWE Guide For Clerk Grade UPKARS PRAKASHAN Clerical Cadre Disha's Target IBPS CWE. These books mainly contains a large set of practice models which is very necessary for speed and time management. But one should have a thorough knowledge about each subjects separately. To enhance one's depth or knowledge on a particular subject, he/she should follow these books: For General Intelligence: Kiran's Competitive Reasoning (Verbal and Non Verbal) For Mathematics: R.S.Aggarwal's Quantitative Aptitude. For English: R.S.Aggarwals English For Computer Knowledge: Kiran's Computer Literacy and Knowledge. For General awareness: You have to read newspapers daily, watch news in T.V, read magazines etc. And for banking industry follow: Kiran's General Banking and Economic Awareness. That's all. Re: Best books for preparation for CWE exam? for bank preparations no other book stands in the way of books of bsc publication ,i.e, magical book on quicker mathematics by m.tyra and magical book of analytical reasoning. also tata mcgrath hill publication book is very good. |

Re: Best books for preparation for CWE exam? hello, In market many publications book is there but ARIHANT PUBLICATION book for CWE exam is sufficient for Preparation of Bank clerk examination. please go through the previous year papers of Bank clerk exam. since from now onwards, IBPS IS CONDUCTING BANK CLERK EXAM SO LEVEL OF QUESTIONS WILL BE HIGH. so keep this point in your mind and prepare at that level only. ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!! |
