Private sector job: There are so many private sector construction work is going on.You can join them. Govt sector job: For this you will have to give IES examination.But except that you can sit for BHEL,SAIL,BSNL,DRDO etc. |

As Civil branch is a core branch, and the market of core branch will never goes down. So, you will definitely get huge opportunity. Our country is now at developing stage, and to develop the infrastructure of a country , construction companies are needed.. For that many construction companies are opening in our country day by day. They hire civil engineers from technical colleges in a large number.. So, after completion of your B.tech /BE course in civil engineering you will get lots of opportunities to get a job. Go for it.. All the best. |

Since you have completed your b.tech,there are lots of oppurtunity for you in government sector. Indian engineering service (IES) :for it you have to crack the entrance exam followed by interview and medical fitness test.Entrance is conducted by upsc,every year. No, Definitely no.......! But yeah you can get to handle any Engineering related Depart of government. I am saying that because to the best of my knowledge, there is also various department handling positions. Likewise we have number ministers some handles Railwyas, some Aviation, some IT & Broadcasting etc. Similarly, in IAS Some being Director of Civil & Aviation affairs, Vice-Director of IT & Broadcasting organisation of government etc. which will report to there respective Ministers. For example: Cabinet Secretry (The highest rank of IAS) handles all Security related matters. Suppose if R & AW has to send any report to PM first it will goes to Cabinet Secretry then he will report to PM. Every CM/Home Minister has an IAS Officer who remains all the time with CM and handling all the works they must be Chief Secretry, Cabinet Secretry. State police etc. first will get in touch with the Secretriat one then Home Ministry will play role. I am also Bit confused  in this regard, but has tried to fetch all what I know in this regards.

Re: Job opportunities for civil engineers? dear friend CIVIL engineering comes under core branch. this is an off field work section . in this line basically u have to design buildings,installation of industries ,power plants and many more. it is an ever green branch with huge demand in india and also in abroad. u can apply in GOVT. jobs in civil sector . Construction companies like TCL,DFL,JAIPYEE GROUP are recruiting many civil engineers. as we all know that our infrastructure is very poor. so GOVT. is try to build proper official buildings, fly over bridges, river dams for hydel power plants. so there is a huge scope in this sector in future. all the best. |
