Dear,
after B.SC in physics honors, you can go for both gov. and non-gov jobs.On a serious note - depending on which courses you took, you can get into 'engineering', financial analysis, High School teacher (need further training and certificates), lab technician, business entrepreneur. You should mention to them how physicists are good at finding solutions, optimizations, etc - this is an important skill in real world. For more details please log on to:

Re: Job opportunities after B.Sc. Physics?

For those who are interested in Physics as a career choice, options for each level of study are summarized below:

Undergraduate Degrees

With General B.Sc. in Physics:

• Teaching - high school and elementary. The current shortage of teachers trained in the physical sciences is likely to continue for several years.
• Laboratory Technician - in government or industry.
• A range of technical jobs - radiation monitoring, electrical power plant operator, scientific instrument operator
• Meteorology (the study of weather) - proceed to Diploma program or graduate study
• Computer programming in industry (e.g. aircraft design)
• Salesperson for technical instruments
• Self-employment - electronics/computer development, contracting for installation of acoustic insulation.
• Continue to Law degree - e.g. industrial patents.
• Proceed to Honours Degree

With Honours B.Sc. in Physics:

• All of the above, but with more job responsibility - e.g. Head of Department at a high school.
• Some teaching at a community college.
• Proceed to Master's Degree in Engineering (electrical, electronic, mechanical or aerospace), Environmental Science, Architecture. These may require one or two make-up courses.
• University laboratory demonstrator
• Proceed to M.Sc. in Physics

Re: Job opportunities after B.Sc. Physics?

After doing B. Sc. in Physics, you should go for M. Sc. in Physics. After that you can do B. Ed. and Ph. D. This will help you to get the job of lecturer and professor in govt. schools and colleges.

You can also apply in public sector jobs like ISRO, IAS etc.

Re: Job opportunities after B.Sc. Physics?

After B.Sc Physics best option is to go for higher studies. You can go for M.Sc Physics. After completing this one can join as lecturer in various universities. Of course physics is a requirement in engineering studies. So there is a chance to enter as lecturers in engineering colleges also. Another option is to do Ph.D after M.Sc. So you will get high posts. There are many other job opportunities also. The B.sc physics students can also apply for jobs in baking sectors. They can join as lab assistants in colleges or schools too. Another great option after this is to join for MBA. That will also be a good choice. The MBA graduates are recruited for many companies.

Re: Job opportunities after B.Sc. Physics?

Graduation is must for job.but the line that what is it scope? is wrong?because our determination ,hard work, seriousness and honesty makes scope............................................. .................................................. ...........
Bsc in physics has scope in the field of teaching,IT,research, finance, engineering, business entrepreneur and if you go ahead for more higher education then obviously scientist stage.
