Re: Age limit for CDS(Only for IMA)? IMA is Indian Military Academy in Dehradun , Uttarakhand . You have to give CDS examination if you want to get into IMA. The age limit for IMA is 19 to 24 years through CDS examination. CDS examination is conducted by UPSC every year twice and if you are a Graduate then you can apply for this examination provided you satisfy the age criteria. You should have required physical fitness if you are willing to join Indian Defence. The selection in IMA is will be based on the performance in the Written Examination, SSB Interview and Medical Examination. Dear Friend  First of all I would like to tell you that CDS stands for the Combined defence services.It conducts entrance examination for the three different academies which are : 1.Indian Naval Academy 2.Officer's training academy. 3.Indian Military academy. HELLO FRIEND ,  The "Combined Defence Services" Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. the examination is usually released in the months of October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:- * Must be an Indian Citizen. * Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam. * For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. AGE LIMIT :- 19-24 years Scheme of Examination:- All the papers are of objective type. Subjects Include are as listed below :- * English * General Knowledge * Elementary Mathematics Total 300 Marks . Candidates successful in the written exam are then called for an interview by a Services Selection Board which evaluates a candidate's suitability for a career in the Indian Military Academy. Educational Qualification : Minimum educational qualification is graduation from a recognised University. FINAL YEAR APPEARING/APPEARED CANDIDATES CAN APPLY ON PROVISION. Re: Age limit for CDS(Only for IMA)? The minimum age limit for applying for the CDS for IMA is 19 years. The maximum age is 24 years. You need to complete your graduation to attend this exam. You should be unmarried. Only male candidates are eligible to apply. |
