However, Yes there is Lateral Entry facility in B.sc but not in Reputed Universities like- Pune University. You have to switch to any Open University for that. Universities like- Karnataka Open University, IGNOU, Madhuraj Kamaraj etc. thank you |

Re: Direct admission in BSc second year if I left my Btech in middle? hiiii, i am ritu, i have done 3 yr course in bio tech engineering, currently i am doing b tech in bio tech as i got lateral entry admission in this course, i was very much interested in becoming a air hostess, now i want to leave this course coz i am finding it very difficult and it is not cup of my coffee, i just want a degree, but i want to enter directly in 2nd year in bsc courses, i cant waste 1 more year, as i wasted 1 yr in b tech. i cant spend 3 more year for getting a degree, as age limit for airhostess is 24, and i am already 21 yr old, kindly advise me, i am in biggest dilemma of my life. |

Dear Friend, I think this will be impossible if you wanna change you degree course. you can change the degree in your own university. some colleges are there : electronics & telecommunication engineering (Pune university). some colleges take the 12th mark minimum 80%. But you left your study after 2nd year with ATKT. And now interesting to do graduation in Bsc (chemistry). But i am sorry ; you can not get admission directly in second year. |

Re: Direct admission in BSc second year if I left my Btech in middle? dear friend, I don't think so... there is no chance to get admission in Bsc 2nd year directly.. there is no relation between of these two field... Btech is a technical field, and Bsc. is a general field.. I can't understand one thing, that why you want to leave Btech.. you first decide in which field you want to go.. if you want to go for Bsc. in chemistry then you have to start it from 1st year, that means you wasted two years of your career in doing Btech.. i always say to go for that field in which you want to go, there should not be any hesitation.. all the best. |

Re: Direct admission in BSc second year if I left my Btech in middle? hi !! actually I am sorry to say that I enquired about various colleges in my state orissa...but I couldnt find any such institution which could give you direct addmission in the 2nd year...you have to start from the very beginning...I know there could be various reasons of leaving B.tech in the middle..becuse many of my friends left b.tech in the middle and stated with B.sc 1 st yer only... GOOD LUCK !! |

Hello Friend It is not possible switch to any other courses after B.Tech ,this type of provision are not made , But one thing is sure that you can take admission as a BSc lateral entry in some of the open universities ...such as IGNOU... Lateral entry in BSc is not possible in most of the universities other then the open universities. So try to gather knowledge about it from the open universities. All the best... |

The simple reason is that there is no such lateral entry rule for BTech students to go into BSc. So you will need to start fresh from 1st year if you join BSc. However you can confirm with the university in which you plan to take admission for BSc course Best of luck |

These are both different fields. But it is possible only in same university, as you are belong to Pune university & want to take admission in same university then it is possible. but i can't tell you the procedure from here , so it is better for you to consult with admission department of the university, & follow the rules. good luck. |
