Re: Job options in indian army after B.Tech.? Hi aspirant, There are good jobs in Indian army for technical person. You have great opportunity to attach our respected and reputed army services. Friend you can go in army through UPSC(Union Public Service Commision),SSC(Short Service Commision), CDS(Combined Defence Service),UES(University Entry Scheme and TES(Technical Entry Scheme) . If you want to join airforce then you can give AFCAT(Air Force Comman Admission Test) exam. The age criteria for these exam is 19 -25 . and you should have minimum 60 % marks in your engineering degree. You can get notification on its official site : upsc.gov.in Best of Luck… |

To join indian army you have to fulfill these basic criterias: 1)you should be less than 23 years old. 2)you should be medically sound. 3)You should graduate from recognized univercity or college. after you fulfill these criterias you can then give the following exams to join indian Army: 1.CDS(combined defense service) 2.UES(university entry scheme) 3.SSC(short service commission) 4.EKT(engineering knowledge test) 1)CDSE: it is an exam conducted for graduates by UPSC twice an year and can get more information from : www.upsc.gov.in 2,3)UES and SSC: these are the exams conducted by indian navy and you can get more information for these enteries from: http://indiannavy.nic.in/ 4)EKT Through this scheme you have to give a written test ,after completing this stage you will be call for SSB.

You can join defense services by following ways: 1.UES : through this scheme ,you have to face direct interview and after getting success you will be call for SSB. you can appear for this in your 3rd year and 4th year. 2.EKT: Through this scheme you have to give a written test ,after completing this stage you will be call for SSB. 3. SSC(short service commission) : In this scheme,also you have to appear for written test.After clearing written test you will be called for AFSB.Actually in this scheme, you will be commissioned for 15 years in the force. NOTE : Friend,for the preparation of written test ,you should read the mechanics, math,physics that you have read in 1st year. Career in defense services is full of adventure and life.There you will get respect in the society as well as money and security of yourself and your belongings. So, go for it and enjoy the life. Physical fitness 1.your height must be greater than equal to 157cm 2.Weight according to height 3.There is no colour blindness 4.No wax in the ear 5.no knocking knee. Re: Job options in indian army after B.Tech.? As you are an Engineering graduate, you can join the Indian Military Academy directly. You only need to attend the Service Selection Board interview. Age Limit :- Between 20-27 years at the time of joining. Application forms are published in the month of March/October. SSB are organized every year in the month of January and July. You can apply directly to :- Addl. Directorate General of Recruiting (TGC), Army HQ, West Block III, RK Puram, New Delhi -110066 |

There are two ways to apply: 1: through UES(university entry scheme) 2: or through fill up the form manually & appear in EKT(engineering knowledge test).
