Yes if you want to clear the IES exam then you should follow the above mentioned books. Yes if you start preparing for the IES Exam now then you will have more time then others for cracking the Exam. The earlier you start your preparation, the more time you will get of doing well in the main exam. You do not want to start late for an IES of the standard of IES. The competition will be very tough and you need to be focused on your goals. Do not waiver and and prepare daily. Be thorough with your preparation. Do not waste time and follow the books. Eventually you will crack it. Best of Luck!!! |

Re: Which books to be referred for preparation for IES exam in EC branch? hi, ies stands for indian engineering services upsc conducts this exam pattern is exam is conducted in two parts:;;; 1.Written Tests 2.Personality Test 1.the written tests consists of 1000 marks those 1000 marks will be divided into five papers each carrying 200 marks . First paper consists questions on the General Ability like; General knoeledge current affairs Indian History Geography and english. and the rest of papers based on optional subjects of which two of them are descriptive and the other two are objective. there is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for an incorrect answer. after getting through in written test there is personal interview where they interview on various aspects like spontanity knowledge about society current affairs economy foreign policies leardership capability etc. for ece Books for IES Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering - Network Analysis: Van Valkenburg - Network and Systems: D.
