Hi friend, First of all congrats for qualifying the GATE exam, definetly you had done well in the gate as your percentile score is 96%. Well you would definetly get admission in IIT's and in worst case you might get admission in NIT"s. as far as my knowledge is concerned, for admission into M-tech your B-tech percentage is not a concern, but you may face problems in the future for campus placements. Well as you do your m-tech from IIT's or NIT's its an advantage and a reason to support your backlog that you really worked hard after your failure and got succeeded. graduation percentage has nothing to do with MTECH entrance, however it has its effect in future course of ur career while u are applying for jobs. coming to percentile, it is taken on highest mark basis and no. of students attended the exam and finally to get into IIT's ur rank in GATE must be of 3 digit. hope i helped u. |

Yes fine you have got a very good score in GATE which will help you to get some good colleges like IITs. In worst case you may get chance in NITs but I think you will not have to face this problem because your have got 96 percentile in GATE. But one thing I am sure that you will face problem in future i.e. you have all good carrier but your graduation percentage is less than 60%.
