Dear sir/madam, The details of SET exam this are as follows : Online registration closes :- April 14, 2012 Payment closes on :- April 17, 2012 SET Test :- May 5, 2012 SET Result :- May 19, 2012 - The main eligibility requirements for appear in that exam is 12th passed with minimum of 50% for general category and 45% marks for other categories. The details of NET exam are as follows : The test will be held on 26/06/2012. You can apply for this test on or before 25/04/2012. The minimum requirement for this test is master degree in any stream with minimum of 55% marks. All the best |

FRIEND, UGC stands for UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION and this institute conducts the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST for the recruitment of candidates for the LECTURESHIP and Junior research Fellowship. THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS: 1)You must have completed Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from university recognized by UGC. 2)If you are in the final year of the Master's Degree then also you are eligible for the exam. 3)IF you have done P.HD then also you are eligible. 4)You must have secured the minimum of 55% marks in Master's degree and A 5% relaxation in marks in given to the Reserved category candidates. 5)AGE CRITERIA: 5.1 For Junior Research Fellowship: You should not be more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories candidates and to women applicants. 5.2 Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility. The test consists of three papers and papers will be held on 24th December 2011 (SATURDAY) the test is conducted in two sessions. First I 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.) First II 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON) Second III 200 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 04.00 P.M.) PAPER-I is to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate PAPER-II: Multiple choice type questions. Paper-III will consist of only descriptive questions from the subject selected by the candidate. MINIMUM MARKS FOR LECTURESHIP REQUIRED ARE: PAPER - I PAPER - II PAPER - I + PAPER - II GENERAL 40 40 100 (50 %) OBC/PH/VH 35 35 90 (45 %) SC/ST 35 35 80 (40 %) MINIMUM MARKS FOR JRF REQUIRED ARE: PAPER - I PAPER - II PAPER - I + PAPER - II PAPER - III GENERAL 40 40 100 (50 %) 100 (50 %) OBC/PH/VH 35 35 90 (45 %) 90 (45 %) SC/ST 35 35 80 (40 %) 80 (40 %) EXAMINATION FEE General Candidates: Rs.450/- Other Backward Classes : Rs.225/- SC/ST/PH/VH candidates: Rs.110/- GOOD LUCK. |

NET - National Eligibility Test The National Eligibility Test (NET) is the national level entrance examination in India for postgraduate candidates who wish to qualify for admission in Ph.D research and/or university level teaching jobs in India. If you have completed masters degree from recognized university then you are eligible for NET exam. For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree. For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.There is no restriction for attempts NET exam. Re: What is the date of this year NET SET exam? NET stands for the National Eligiblity Test and SET stands for the state eligibility set .This examination is conducted by UGC Twice in a year. The NET Examination is conducted twice a year.The examination is generally done in the month of June and December every year. ELIGIBLITY You must have got master’s Degree with 55% from universities recognised by UGC. Final year students are also take the exam. For Junior Research Fellowship - You should be not more than 28 years. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to SC, ST and for OBC candidates. For Lectureship - No upper age limit . Important dates : Application Submission Start Date : 29-3-2012 Application Submission End Date : 25-4-2012 Last date for receiving the documents at the test center: 2-5-2012 Examination Date : 26-6-2012 Pattern of the examination : This time the examination is of objective types .The Test will consist of three papers of only objective type questions . The three papers will be conducted in two session. Paper I :Will contain the following questions : Reasoning ability Comprehension Divergent thinking General awareness. Paper II and Paper III will be based on the optional subjects chosen by the candidates . |
