GATE cut off for ECE varied year to year . last year cut off was 25 for general candidate. so this year we can expected cut off will be +-25. now we can see it in 15th March. Re: Cutoff marks for GATE ECE exam? Dear friend, You are form ECE background. GATE cut off varies from year to year. But in case of 2012 the gate cutoff for ECE students is 27. But for OBC and SC/ST there will be some relaxation. |

Admission Procedure & Cutoff for Computer Science & Engineering Some candidates with lower GATE score but with other achievements such as publications, industrial experience of at least two years may also be invited for the interview and written test. The written test consists of questions from basic computer science courses as well as some questions to test the analytical abilities and aptitude of the candidate. For this year the question was little bit easy so that the cut off may be high too. Hope for the best and result will be good!! thank you!! |

Re: Cutoff marks for GATE ECE exam? As this year question paper of ece gate was tough than previous year, cut-off should be low that that of prevous year( last year it was 25 for general and 16 for others).this year cut-off should be approx 21 for general and 14 for others. |

Re: Cutoff marks for GATE ECE exam? This year ece gate paper was tough than the previous year paper. so, cut-off this time should be approx 20 (previous year it was 25) for general students and approx 14 (previously 16) for sc and others. |

There is no particular cut off marks for GATE ECE. But normally, according to the previous year, to qualify for counselling, one must get at least 25 marks. So, you need minimum of 25 score. If you want to get IIT, you need to score above 45. Thanks |
