Re: Details regarding admission to M.Tech from BITS, Pilani? Hi BITS Pilani is one of the finest Technical Institutions in our country over the years. Its ranked 6th in All India Rankings. Now BITS conducts its own Entrance exam for the B.Tech admissions which is called the BITSAT. But the BITS takes M.Tech admissions on the basis of the GATE exam. GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering which is an Entrance exam conducted by the IIT's to select candidates for the M.Tech programs in various Engineering colleges all across India like the IIT's, NIT's, BITS, etc.. So, if you wish to take admission for M.Tech in BITS college, then sit for the GATE exam. If you crack it, then BITS would call you based on your percentile and the GATE score. This year, the GATE is over, and so you can always apply next year as there is no attempt limits to this exam. The institute offers only M.E course. You will need to appear for the entrance exam which is held in November. You can appear when you are in the final year of engineering too.
