Re: What is the next step to become an Astronaut after passing 10th? dear friend, You want to become an astronaut in future, then you should go for science field in 12th.. After completion of 12th you can go for entrance exams like- IIT-JEE AIEEE ISAT etc.. Through IIT-JEE or AIEEE exam you can join in BE/B.tech course.. After completion of BE/B.tech course you can apply for space research centers like- ISRO, DRDO.. You can also go for ISAT exam which is an entrance exam for IIST(Indian Institute of space science and technology).. Through which you can take admission in space science and technology field. IIST offers B.Tech programme in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences.. Now, you decide where to go.. All the best.. |

After class 10th , you will have to complete class 12th with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 65% .After completing your intermediate ,take part in Entrance exams like-IIT-JEE , AIEEE and ISAT. ISAT is an entrance-exam exam conducted by ISRO .This is very important exam for those who want to enter in space and aeronautical department . Another way is to first of all completing aeronautical engineering and then taking part in exams conducted by ISRO and NASA.For getting entry in this field , you must have good mathematics. |

Hi Dear  After complete 10th then you go for 12th science after pass 12th science then you go for engineering that is good for you. After 12th then you choose Astronaut engineering or after engineering you apply in NASA. For Astronaut you minimum study below one course:- 1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (minimum) 2. Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science 3. Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics 4. Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science * The applicant must have had at least l,000 hours flying time in jet aircraft * Experience as a test pilot is desirable Then you are eligible to become one good Astronaut. Afterwards you have take admission to Science Field with main subjects(PCM) i.e(Physics Chemistry Mathematics)right from 11 std you must concentrate on entrance exams such as AIEEE,IIT-JEE,BITSAT,MHTCET After giving this exam you can get admission to engineering college |

First of all,i appreciate your decision of becoming astronaut.In india and in many countries there is no undergraduate program for astronomy.Becoming astronaut needs skills and courage.My suggestion is first finish 10+2 exam.Then finish B.sc physics from any of the reputed institution.Prepare for JEST(JOINT ENTRANCE SCREENING TEST) which is entrance exam conducted to integrated ph.d in astronomy and astrophysics in IIAP(INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ASTROPHYSICS),IISC,NCRA-TIFR,IUCAA.This course has stipend too.Refer the respective website for detailed information.All the best for your future!Feel free to ask your queries or doubts. |
