The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for entrants in the teaching profession and research. The test is conducted twice in a year generally in the months of June and December. Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam. For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree.
