Re: Btech marks are good but marks in 10th and 12th are low, what are the possible problems I could face?

Dear pal,
Most of the companies recruits engineers or any degree holders only based on the marks secured by them in the degree course . Marks in the previous exams are not considered by them for the selection process.
But in few circumstances the companies may consider the marks in the tenth and higher secondary course in that case you may not be able to satisfy the eligible.
If case of fixing up the eligibility in the Higher secondary then it would be 60% so you might face difficulty. But do not think of the negative side think that you have wide opportunity and you will be placed.
Do not apply only to a single institution apply to a number of institution so that you can have better chances for job immediately after the completion of your bachelor degree course.
You need to develop soft skill and communication abilities and other software skill required for your discipline .

hi, i got 73% in engineering (from a reputed govt. engg college) & currently having 5 yrs working experience with MBA through distance learning (from NMIMS, Mumbai) but the problem is my 10th marks: 57% & 12th marks:58%. because of below 60% I am not eligible for OEM%u2019s (i.e tatamoters, maruti); so my question is %u201Cif now I will do 10th through distance learning & got above 60% than will it be acceptable/considerable/eligible or not??%u201D

Re: Btech marks are good but marks in 10th and 12th are low, what are the possible problems I could face?

dear friend,
As your 10th and 12th marks are low then you will not be able to apply for any big companies..

You will not be able to appear in campus drive of giant IT companies.

Also you will not be eligible to apply for PSU sectors..

But you don't worry..

You can apply for jobs in sectors like-

1.Defense

2.UPSC conducted civil service exams

3.Bank PO exams.

So, go for any of these..

All the best.

hello friend....

Its nice to see that you have started working on your placement even in your 2nd yr.... As you know its pretty tough to take up when companies say 60% eligibility for 10th and 12th but you dont have to worry cause if you have work experience then no company will see the 10th and 12th marks for sure... my advice to you will be as you are in 2nd IT just start working on some real time projects like doing some innovative things with the help of your seniors or staffs because if you do it am sure you can just show that project which talks more than your marks to the companies which are coming in for placements then for sure they will accept to take you even in campus placements....hope the info. helps.......ALL THE BEST...

Re: Btech marks are good but marks in 10th and 12th are low, what are the possible problems I could face?

Hey its not a big problem since you have scored well in your B.tech.having a bad score in your 10Th and 12TH may not effect you since many of the companies like Wipro ask for a minimum percentage of 55 in your 10th and 12th.Having a bad score in 10th may effect you in getting into top MNC's but you can go through various government exams conducted by the UPSC,SBI,BEL,BHEL,HAL and other such companies which even depends upon the branch in Engineering your from.

You can even go for higher studies like MBA or M.Tech or any other course according to your interest.

all the best

no you will not face any problem to get a very good job.

most of the well renowned companies demand 60% marks criteria throughout the academics and you fit into this.
Infact many companies does not want any criteria.
dont worry you will get a very good job.

Yes it shows an affect if you want to attend some companies.

You must have atleast 60% in 10th and 12th without any backlogs.
But that is the matter with only some companies, many don't even consider 10th, 12th percentages.

Dont worry if your graduation record is good.
For placement = good cgpa + extra curricular activities + good communication skills + good project.
10 and 12th marks are not a matter of tension so much.

Re: Btech marks are good but marks in 10th and 12th are low, what are the possible problems I could face?

Of course there is a little inclination towards those who performed well in X and XII(mostly above 55%),
BUT i said BUT, it doesn't mean that if you haven't scored well you have lost the battle. .
If you perform in your well you still have the chances..
Guess what you never know which company puts and removes the criteria.
I am sure you will get a wonderful job if you search for it......... don't depend on criteria.

hey arsh you dont need to be worried because you have a good score in your btech..just what you need is that you must have skills and talent to be an xtra ordinary one while your placement rounds occur in your campus..just keep working hard for your future success instead of turning back to past which can't be changed.

companies see the consistency not the top marks...
there are situations where topper didn't get jobs even though remaining all are placed.....
and regarding 12th marks if your engg.,%> 12th class% it will mean you are developed..so it is an advantage for you...

Re: Btech marks are good but marks in 10th and 12th are low, what are the possible problems I could face?

Dear friend

If you dont score good marks in your 12th and 10th exams, then please dont worry.

As you scored good marks in your B.tech, then every company see your latest course marks. They will never see your 12th and 10th exams percentage.

If you have a great knowledge and technique to handle a situation, then company will select you.

But, you have not score good marks in your 12th and 10th exams, then you will not eligible for various government Recruitment exams like SBI, PNB etc.

But, if you scored and mentain more than 60% marks in your B.tech, then you will get good jobs with good salary pacakage.

Re: Btech marks are good but marks in 10th and 12th are low, what are the possible problems I could face?

there are so many company their minimum criteria they fixed at least 60% through out the carrrier. unfortunate you will be unable to sit in the campusing of this type of company. but you should not worry about this. try to get first from a little company. gain some experience and that apply for walk in interview into large company. otherwise try to do m.tech from any university. after that it will be comparably easy to get job in large company. best of luck.
