IPS(Indian Police Service) exams are conducted by UPSC every year.
Minimum Qualification

Candidate should be Graduate from recognized university.
(no percentage is required just passing marks are enough)


Number of Attempt

General - 4 attempt

OBC - 7 Attempt

SC/ST - No limit on number of attempt



Age Limit

General - 21 to 30 yrs

OBC - 21 to 33 yrs

SC/ST - 21 to 35 yrs

Defence Personnal - 21 to 33 yrs

Ex serviceman - 21 to 35 yrs



Physical Standard:Candidate should be physically fit

IPS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

Height

For Men : 165 cm(AROUND)
For Women :150 cm(AROUND)

OBC /SC/ST : Male - 160 cm and Female :145 cm

Chest

male candidates is ---84 (+ 5cm).

female candidates---- 79cm(+ 5cm).

Eye Sight
• For Worse Eye :6/12 or 6/9 distant vision.
• For good Eye :6/6 or 6/9 distant vision

iam very happpy to share my knowledge with you.

I am providing you the whole details on the eligibility Criteria for IPS:

Educational qualification:
You should have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized university.

Age limit:
Should have crossed 21 years. But should not have crossed 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs .

Physical Standard:

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123,
age 24 – 124,
age 25 –122,
age 28 – 124,
age 30 –125,
age 32 – 126,
age 34 – 127.

Others:
Good listening & normal ear cavity. Candidate should not stammer while speaking.

If you fulfill it, then take a look at the admission procedure:

You can apply both online and offline.

For offline application, you have to collect the form from the designated post offices.

For online application, you have to visit the official website.

You will also get other details there...like exam date, other criteria etc....

Candidates appearing for the personality test on clearing the civil services mains exam have to meet certain physical requirements to be eligible for IPS.

Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is between to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumaonis, Nagaland Tribals etc.)
Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.
Total amount of Myopia (including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia (including the cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D
Presence of Squint is a disqualification

for ips no difficult criteria normally healthy person which are height 5 feet 7inches & and which have no disease
