Re: How to join Indian Army after B.Tech.? Engineering graduate can join the Indian Military Academy directly. So, you only need to attend the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. Eligibility :- Age Limit - Between 20-27 years at the time of joining. The course starts every year in the month of January and July. Advertisement of the application form published in March/April & Oct./Nov in employment newspaper. You can join in Indian Army after B.Tech by appear for CDS exam.CDS stands for Combined Defense Service.This exam is conducted by upsc every year twice,to take qualified student into different defense service like >>Indian Air Force >>Indian Navy >>Indian Army To appear for this exam For Indian Army: You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university. And your age should be between 19 to 24 years. For Indian Air Force: You should have complete graduation degree in Engineering with any stream from a recognized university. And your age should be between 19 to 23 years. For Indian Navy: You should have complete graduation degree in Engineering with any stream from a recognized university. And your age should be between 19 to 22 years. If you fulfill with above mentioned criteria,then you can appear for this year CDS exam. CDS-I exam application was closed on 28th Nov 2011. Re: How to join Indian Army after B.Tech.? Hello, In India, army is the most important part of defence. To join Indian Army you have to fight Civil Defence Services exams i.e. CDS and NDA exams. Both CDS and NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Educational Eligibility For Indian Army - a. For NDA = A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 16 Years to 21 Years. b. For CDS = A candidate pass graduation in any subject or in any engineering from a regonised institute / university. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 21 Years to 30 Years. Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit. 1. Eye Sight = 6/6, 2. Height = 167 cms, 3. Weight: 50 Kg 4. Re: How to join Indian Army after B.Tech.? Hi As you have already fill a form for the UES you will get a call letter from the Army. In the call letter they invite you for the interview and when you clear that interview you will be called for the SSB. If you have completed your engineering then you will be called directly for the SSB. The questions that are generally asked in the interview according to my personal experience are given below: 1. A good speech on your self . 2.Current Affairs. 3.Technical question related to your branch. Only these questions are mostly asked in the interview. You can also join Indian army as an officer through CDS exam. The details regarding this exam is mentioned below: Date of advertisement: The notification for exam is mostly published during the month of october. Age limits For Indian Military Academy:19 - 24years For Air Force Academy:19 - 23years For Naval Academy:19 - 22years Educational qualifications For IMA and OTA :- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. Re: How to join Indian Army after B.Tech.? dear friend If you are interested to join indian Army, then after Graduation from an Engineering stream you can give the Combined Defense service Exam conducted by the UPSC in New Delhi. Please check out the UPSC website and you will get all the details there. The UPSC will conduct the exam and hand over the results to the defence forces who will conduct the interview. A panel will conduct a medical check up. Ater clear in medical test, you will get chance to join army. |
