Re: Scope of Pharmacist and Biotechnology in India HELLO, Biotechnology is progressing slowly but surely in india.After M.Sc. one can opt for PhD in this field.after PhD there are more opportunities,much better in abroad like Japan,America,China Korea(south & north),as a junior scientist & as a senior scientist after promotion. In one magazine Biotechnology is named in the league of Engineeing,Medical,Law since its an emerging field. By the time you pass out you can surely expect an awesome job with aweosome salary. Frankly speaking my sister also doing biotechnology and she recently got placed in Ranbaxy with an awesome salary. She coudnt get into Medical so Biotech was here only choice and she liked that field too So interest also matters!!! If you have interest in Biology then you can rock the world if you do your biotechnolgy |

Re: Scope of Pharmacist and Biotechnology in India dear friend, indeed it has a great scope in the future.biotec has good scope in near future. the demand is going 2 rise 3 folds in another 5 yrs. even foreign countries are inviting biotechnology engineers from india 2 work for them.Current Trends in Biotechnology and Pharmacy is an international quarterly research journal dedicated to pharmaceutical and biotechnology research. The journal is published by the Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy. |

In biotechnology you have various options and fields including pharmacy. While in pharmacy you are restricted to only pharmaceuticals only. however if you concentrate to pharmacy you can choose any of the two, both subjects have vast scope in india. |

I know a few people who got into it, who now work in IT. its a research field. IF you are terribly good at it you can work in the field............................. |

Dont worry go for it.it will be better for you to opt for bachelor in RED biotechnology or WHITE. After persuing that courses you will find lots of career oppertunities waiting for you. Best of luck
