FRIEND, Yes friend you can write the IES exam in the last year of your B.TECH or B.E but you are not eligible to write to the exam in the pre-final year. So IES stands for ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAM and it is conducted once in a year by UPSC. To be eligible to appear for the IES you should be pursuing the engineering degree from the following branches. Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communications Engineering You must be a graduate from the above branches of engineering or in the final year of graduation of the course. Your age must be between 21 to 30 years and there is some relaxation in the age for the Reserved category candidates i.e 3 and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST respectively.A relaxation of 10years is given to Ex service man There are two papers conducted PAPER -I and PAPER- II and both the sections contain the Questions from your branch. IMPORTANT DATES ARE: NAME OF THE EXAM:ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION, 2012 DATE OF NOTIFICATION : 25.02.2012 LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS : 26.03.2012 (MONDAY) DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF EXAM : 15.06.2012 (FRIDAY) DURATION OF THE EXAM: 03 DAYS SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: GOOD LUCK. |

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Services Examination and this examination was Conducted by UPSC Commission every year, To apply for IES Examination you need to complete your Engineering Graduate degree course. For this year IES Examination was already completed in 14/May/2011. If you have already applied for IES Examination, then I will Suggest you please wait for the Result because the Result was Not declared by the UPSC Commission Yet. So, When the Result was Declared it will be Updated in the Official UPSC website OR also in the Leading Newspapers. I have Not Provide you the exact date, But I think the result will be declared in few Months. So, Please wait for the Result and for more details about the result please contact the UPSC Commission, they will definitely help you and tell you the Information about the result. If you had appeared for the IES 2011, then I must tell you that, the IES 2011 results are already out and you may check it here. IES RESULTS !!! Indian Engineering Service (IES) exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in every year. If you appeared in the IES exam and waiting for the result then i want to know that in which year you appeared in the IES examination. You not mention in the question. The result of IES examination will be available on the official website of UPSC when it will be released.
