Hello,
Had you been from some other genre I would have advised something else for you but since you are from CSE or computer science engineering, I would rather suggest you to go for MBA rather than anything else. MBA is a very powerful genre from knowledge and salary point of view. If you have any special interest towards any other genre, then the thing is different. But if you want to choose the best one, then MBA is the one. If you have score more than 50% in your B.Tech. After that take up application forms for CAT or XAT or OPENMAT or any other well accepted MBA entrance examination. These entrance examinations normally cover subjects like data interpretation, analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, English etc. Prepare on them and get a clear score in the test. After that apply in any MBA institute with that score. All the Best.

Re: MBA or M.Tech After Computer Science Engineering?

Hello ,
All depends on your interest and capability .

If you are interested to work with your field then you must do Mtech.

specially if you want to do research oriented jobs, then MTech is compulsory.

but if you are not interested to work in your engineering field, then it is essential to do MBA.

All the best on your choice !!

Re: MBA or M.Tech After Computer Science Engineering?

after B.TECH. you preparation of gate exam m.tech. because you passed b.tech. . so after m.tech your intelligence is increase and you easily get job on good payment and you also job found out in ISRO.
but you choose M.B.A. line then you mind is change because you passed b.tech and m.b.a. . the m.b.a. line is completely change. you get success in m.b.a. difficult.
so my advice iv that you prepare for m.tech.

Re: MBA or M.Tech After Computer Science Engineering?

dear friend

After completing your engineering course, you can choose courses according to your interest. Because there is no need to comparing M.Tech Vs MBA or so, because both the courses are different and have different jobs and placements scope.

So, after completing engineering MBA and M.tech both are good courses to make your career bright.

If you can manage the other field and you can cover it easily, then MBA is best field and finance and marketing are the best specilisation.

So, i will suggest you, just choose specilisation and field according to your personal interest. So, that you can not face any problem after opting the course.

So, both field are good, choose according to your personal interest and definately you will get sucess one day.

good luck.

Re: MBA or M.Tech After Computer Science Engineering?

Well dear list is big one without knowing the stream of engineering.

Which MBA specialization is better for an Engineering Graduate depends upon the branch of engineering he/she had graduated from. Each engineering has its own requirement for management purposes.

However, in general terms if we list for MBA specializations for MBA graduates, we can discuss the things like this.

MBA specializations which are largely opted by Engineers

MBA - Production Management: Generally opted by Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, etc. engineers. Its for core areas where factory, manufacturing, industrial has greater involvement.

MBA - Marketing Management: Suites any Engineer, mainly involves Marketing of products and promotions.

MBA - General , no specialization: As it is open for all. Branch, stream doesn't matters.

MBA Supply Chain Management: Generally opted by Industrial, MAterial, Glass and Ceremics etc. engineers.

MBA Construction Management: Mainly opted by Civil or Construction Engineers and Architects and Planners.

MBA IT/System Management: Generally opted by IT, CS, ECE, ETC, EEE, etc. engineers.

MBA Human Resources Management: For all but generally opted by IT, CS and Electronics engineers.

MBA Packing: Mainly opted by packaging, Materials and Food Technology engineers.

MBA Finance Management: Opted by some silly type of engineers who no longer wants to be an engineer but a bank manger.

MBA Food Processing and management: As its sounds opted by Food Technology engineers.

Re: MBA or M.Tech After Computer Science Engineering?

hello Dear Friend
You should first ask yourself a few question which are ,
Do you enjoy computer science ie coding, programming etc and do you really have a good command in your subject so that you can get a job in major IT sector ?

These days IT sector has become very competitive and if you are not technically very strong then you won't be able to grow much. If you are technically very sound (compare your peers, not your seniors)then must go for a MTech with specialization in Statistics or Computer science itself.
Try to score well in GATE and get into either IITs or IISc.

If you think that you are technically not very sound (Don't take it a subject of shame it just happens with more than 50% engineers) then going for MBA would be good choice. But don't do mistakes selecting your college.
Prepare for CAT/XAT/SNAP/FMS and get a good college otherwise placement problem may occur again.

There is no alternate of study at all. If you work hard now then you will have less complicated time in future. But if you let the time go as it goes and go to simple private college for higher studies you may have to face problems in future again.
Good Luck..
thank you

HELLO......
Both courses MBA and M.Tech are good and reputed one and there demand in job sector are very good. You have completed you graduation from computer science engineering then my suggestion to you that you should go with MBA course because in MBA there are lots of job offered and your career prospects is good.

For taking admission in MBA you should qualify the CAT/MAT examination which are held by Indian Management. CAT exams are held only one time in a year and MAT exams are held four time in a year. After qualifying these exams you are able to apply for MBA course in recognized university.

So my suggestion to you that you should do MBA course with MARKETING stream after your graduation....

ALL THE BEST WITH GOOD LUCK......

see since you are under the technical conditions so MBA will not suit you
mba is totally of management and can be understand by only those students who have learned accounts have great speaking english power and can handled situation easily.

and you are an enginner the conditions will not suit for you.so prepare for mtech exam.

Re: MBA or M.Tech After Computer Science Engineering?

i think there is no compare of MBA & M.TECH . but i must say if you are computer science ENGG then you should go for M.TECH bcoz you grow your technical knowledge but with MBA you can not.so dont loose your stream.but if you are interested in MBA you can go fir it but first check your skills bcoz MBA needs skills if you have then good but you have not then there is no use of MBA.
SO THIS is totally depend upon you !

Re: MBA or M.Tech After Computer Science Engineering?

Though both mba and mtech programs are good, I personally prefer mtech as today if u see everyone is running after mba programs. Therefore, according to me Mtech is the best program after btech. In a recent seminar, I got to know about some of very interesting and unique programs like built environment, structural engineering, Robotics, artificial intelligence etc. As these are core sector programs, I would advise you to look for them to get a good job in any good multinational company. Though not many universities and colleges are not famous for these programs but my friend told me that UPES is a university which is famous for its programs in pan asia region.

hi!!!!
Better to decide first in which field you have more interest like in management or in technical. If you think that you have much interest in managing than go for MBA(IT) and if you think that you have much interested technically than better to go for M.Tech.(CS).So decision is yours.

with best wishes!!!!

I think both will be good.....
But Iwil suggest you for doing M.Tech instead of doing Mba......
but you can get jobs in both the fields
But as your profession is engineering, you must do M.tech in Information Technology........
But if your desire says MBA, then you must take the specialisation on HR durring MBA................

I will suggest you to go for M.TECH,you can prepare for GATE and then you can get admissions in some reputed college even the IITs or the NITs.

But if you are interested in MBA,then inorder to get entry into some well known B-Schools you have to clear CAT or even MAT.Because getting MBA degree from a top B-School will matter alot.

Actually there is no need of experience to pursue any of these courses.
So the most important thing is in what you are interested, follow it.

Good Luck.

1)First decide whether you want to settle as a professional or as a business or Management official.......
2)doing M.tech has become common and most of them from IITs are also coming out with no job......so MBA may give a good job
3)if you do MBA from IIMs you get a good salary with a hike of 10% to that of the passouts of B.techs from the IITs

it's totally depends upon you. MBA and M.tech is totally different.
if you go for m.tech then you will explore your technical knowledge here. you will be in touch of your computer science.
but if you go for MBA it is a managerial job. here you will be unable to explore your technical knowledge. although you will earn a good salary if you go for MBA.

now you should decide what is your motivation. i will suggest you as you are a student of computer science engineering so you should go for M.Tech.

My personal opinion for M.Tech because if you go for M.Tech then you can gain
more knowledge about your Stream . You do not need to change your stream their are many reputed colleges in which campus placements are organized for M.Tech students . In MBA BSc./BCA/B.Com/B.A/B.Tech all are considered in same category.
