Hello Friend,

IAS (Indian Administration Services) & IPS (Indian Police Service) are the one for which you have to clear the exams of Civil Services conducted by UPSCs once year.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate must be graduate in any stream from recognized university with at least 60% marks.

2. Age Limit: 21-30 years.

Age Relaxation: For OBC cadidates its 3 years and for SCs/STs its 5 years.

3. Candidate must be citizen of India.

No. of Attempts:

1. For General Category: 4

2. For OBC: 7

3. For SCs/STs: Unlimited

hi,
if you wish to become an ias or ips officer first you have to crack upsc exam.for upsc exam you should possess a minimum age of 21 years and should have a degree certificate,your nationality must be an Indian.number of attempts ranges from 5-7 as per on the caste basis...good luck...thank you

AGE LIMIT

21 yrs must be completed on 1st aug of the year ,which a candidate is

appearing Maximum 30 for general category ,33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST

Ex.servicemen will get 5 more years Exemption From the prescribed age limit

the date of birth accepted by the commision is that entere in the

marticulation or secandary school leaving certificate or in a certificate

recognized by an indian university



NUMBER OF ATTEMPT


Four attempt for open ,seven for OBC and no limit for 'SC/ST if a person

appears in the preliminary examination or Even one paper is counted as an

attempt




EXAM PATTERN



Preliminary Examination --- it is of objective type .which is a qualify Examination

Exam Held -- May/June



Main Examination ---- is consists of written examination and interview


Exam Held --- Oct/Nov






PHYSICAL STANDARD



Height -- Male 165cm Male and SC/ST -- 160 cm

Female 150 cm and ST (not SC/OBC) --145cm

Chest --Male Minimum 84cm and Expansion --5 cm

Female Min 79cm and Expansion 5cm

AGE LIMITS

A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on august 1 of the year of examination

the upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases

upto a max of 5 yrs if the candidate belong SC/ST

upto a max of 3yrs if the candidate belong to other Backward classes

upto a max of 5 yrs if the candidate belong had been domiciled in jammu and

kashmir during the period between jan 1 ,1980 and dec 31 ,1989



NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS

General Candidates :Four Attempts

Scheduled Caste and Scheduled tribe candidate: no restriction

Other Backward Classes : Seven attempts



NATIONALITY

ony indian national are eligible for IAS and IPS

For Other Services a canddate can be either


Indian
Nepal
Bhutan

Eligiblity for IAS EXAM;
you should complete Bachelor degree in any discipline from recozined university . There is no Minimum percentage of marks require to apply for Civil Service Examination
age limit is 21 to 30 years.
IAS EXAM PATTERN;

IPS(INDIAN POLICE SERVICE)
Age limit is ips exam also 21 to 30 years.
Both exam is conducted by upsc.

To apply for IAS and IPS Examination your age should be 21 years to 30 years , If your interested in IAS and IPS Examination then you may apply for Civil Service Examination which is conducted by the UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) for every year .

This Civil Service Examination may divided into preliminary Examination / Main Examination / Interview
