Re: If the institute if UGC/DEC approved but not AICTE approved then can one appear for Government Service?

AICTE approval is not required for government jobs. If your degree is UGC recognised then it is enough, AICTE approval is not necessary. Also AICTE approved courses are not methodically made, as they contain many items which are not necessary. They cause more confusion in understanding the subjects. Unnecessary materials clutter in AICTE approved study materials. I am a BCA from IGNOU with a first division and i am doing Government job. I got a quick job in Govt. (Central) while many of my class mates went to pursue AICTE approved higher degrees and are still unemployed because they did not get their degree in hand yet. Some of them have crossed their age and cannot apply for Govt. jobs! AICTE sucks.

Re: If the institute if UGC/DEC approved but not AICTE approved then can one appear for Government Service?

It is not necessary that the institute has to conduct AICTE approved degrees and diplomas for their students to get a govt. job. UGC/DEC approvals are enough for getting govt. jobs, preferably central govt. jobs. AICTE degrees and diplomas are hard to get and tough but has same value like UGC approved degrees. Its more flexible to go for UGC degrees and not AICTE degrees or diplomas.
