The standard reference books for Civil Engineering discipline of Engineering Services Examination are as listed below. Concrete Structures by Punmia & Jain Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics by R K Bansal Hydrology by Subramanyam Highway Engineering by Khanna & Jasto Irrigation by S K Garg Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering by Ranjan & Rao Venkat Ramaiha S K Garg Steel Structures by Duggal Strength of Materials by B C Punmia Structural Analysis by Negi, Ramamurtham and C K Vang You should also refer previous year question papers from time to time to keep your preparation on right track. Building Materials 2. Solid Mechanics 3. Structural analysis 4. Design of steel structures 5. Design of concrete and masonry structures 6. Construction practice,planning and management Paper II : 1. Fluid mechanics, open channel flow, pipe flow 2. Hydraulic machines and hydro-power 3. Hydrology 4. Water resource Engineering 5. Environmental Engineering 6. Soil mechanics 7. Foundation engineering 8. Last one is surveying and transportation engineering The detailed description of IES Exam for civil engineering is given in pdf which i have attached.
