First, i have to congratulate for your interest in IES (Indian Engineering Services) exam

There are two types of Paper - I and II

Paper I :


1. Building Materials
2. Solid Mechanics
3. Structural analysis
4. Design of steel structures
5. Design of concrete and masonry structures
6. Construction practice,planning and management

Paper II :

1. Fluid mechanics, open channel flow, pipe flow
2. Hydraulic machines and hydro-power
3. Hydrology
4. Water resource Engineering
5. Environmental Engineering
6. Soil mechanics
7. Foundation engineering
8. Last one is surveying and transportation engineering


The detailed description of IES Exam for civil engineering is given in pdf which i have attached.
