Candidates above 28 years are not allowed to apply for the examination. The aggregate percentage required to apply for the examination is 55% throughout the academics. Thank you, All the best. |

Re: What is the age limit for SLET entrance exam? The age limit depends on your purpose of appearing for the State Eligibility Test for Lectureship. If you are appearing for the Junior Research Fellowship then 28 years is the maximum age limit to apply. However if you are appearing for the college lectureship then there is no upper age limit. This is same for the National Eligibility Test. The difference between two exams is that NET is conducted for central government colleges by SLET is conducted by all the states for their respective colleges. Even though SET/NET are two different exams, the criteria to appear in it is the same. Whether its SLET or National Eligibility Test, the criteria is set by the University Grants Commission. Please check the entire criteria below. Eligibility 1. You should be citizen of India. 2. Post graduation degree in any stream. 3. At least 55 percent marks in master degree. 4. The requirement for SC/ST is 50 percent. 5. Final year students are also eligible to appear for SLET. 6. But they will have to submit their master degree within 2 years of passing SLET. 7. Your NET subject should be relevant to master degree course. 8. You have unlimited number of attempts. Age Limit 1. The maximum age limit is 28 years if applying for Junior Research Fellowship. 2. There is upto 3 years relaxation for OBC. 3. SC/ST get 5 years relaxation. 4. There is no upper age limit if candidate is applying for College Lectureship. |

If you don't have an aggregate of 55% marks in your masters, then you're not eligible for SET. And for the age, there is no limitation. You can give it any number of times. Gud luck |

Duration :- 150 minutes. Exam Pattern 30 questions from Logical Reasoning 30 questions from Legal Reasoning 30 questions from Analytical Reasoning 30 questions from General Knowledge 30 questions from Reading Comprehension |
