is based on Teaching Aptitude and general awareness. This paper is compulsory for candidates belonging to any stream. The other two papers are based on the subjects in which the candidate holds her/his masters degree. The same goes for the test conducted jointly by UGC and CSIR. Since this joint examination is conducted only for Science subjects, the compulsory paper i,e Paper I is based on scientific analytical aptitude test Paper II and Paper III are based on the major subject of the candidate. In both UGC NET and CSIR UGC NET Paper I and Paper II are of objective type and comprise of multiple choice questions whereas Paper III is subjective in nature. |
