Hello, The eligibility for the IBPS specialist officer exam for the IT OFFICERS scale 1 is as, A Degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation. OR Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications from a recognised University/ Institution OR Graduate from a recognized university with DOEACC ‘B’ level. Eligibility for the Technical Officer scale 1, A Degree in Engineering in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Textile/ Chemical etc./ B.Pharm. The age limit for the above officers is minimum of 20 Years and maximum of 35 Years. As you have not completed your degree in B.TECH,you are not eligible to apply for the IBPS exam. Good Luck. |

However, the concept was to have two exams every year in each category, so that a steady stream of candidates with IBPS scores (valid for one year) would be available in the market. Age limits of these examinations :- The candidate must have a minimum 20 years and maximum 35 years as on 1st December 2011 and relaxation is applicable to reserved categories. But I.T Officer(Scale II) and Law Officer(Scale II) age limits should between minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 01-12-2011.
