Re: Am I eligible for NDA exam after at an age of 19? Hi, if your age should be below 19 years from application form you are eligible for the NDA exam. NDA stands for National Defence Service. This exam conducted by the union public service commission twice in a year. i.e, NDA-I and NDA-II NDA has three wings follows Indian Army Navy Indian Air force Eligibility criteria: the candidate should complete the 12th standard from a recognized school or Equivalent discipline. The candidate must have the mathematics physics and chemistry subjects for the indian air force and navy. The candidate minimum age is 16.5 and maximum age is 19 years. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam. Girls are not eligible for this exam. But the candidate should be citizen of india. The no. Of attempts for the general category is 4 attempts obc candidates is 7 attempts there is no limit of attempts for the sc/st candidates. There is no marks criteria for eligible this exam. Hello Friend, If your age is below 19 years on the last date of NDA application then you are applicable for NDA exam .Because the maximum age limit for NDA exam is 19 years old. NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year. If you have completed 12th standard from recognized board are applicable for NDA exam.Science streams are applicable for all wings but commerce and arts streams are applicable only Army wings. They are not require any kind of marks criteria.Minimum Qualification of this exam is 12th standard.But you must be fit in medical standard also. But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for NDA exam. You can join any one of the following Defence services by cracking this examination . -Army wings -Navy wings -Air force Minimum Height :- ~~Army wings :- Acceptable height is 157.5 cms . ~~Navy wings :- Acceptable height is 157 cms . ~~Air force :- Acceptable height is 162.5 cms . Check out the chart list wise height / weight requirements :- Chest should be well developed. Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms. Additional Requirements :- -Running : 2 to 4 Km. in 15 minutes -Skipping -Pushups : Minimum 20 each Sit-ups -Chin ups : Minimum 08 -Rope Climbing : 3 to 4 meters. You have to pass 12th examination from a recognized School or equivalent qualification and those who are appearing in the final year of 12th exam may also eligible to apply . You must have a minimum 16.5 years and maximum 19 years and there is no relaxation given to the reserved categories . Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply . So the highlighted lines mean that you are not eligible for the NDA exam anymore. But still you can try. The NDA II exam date have already been announced. Iif you want to apply for NDA then you can apply through online or offline mode.
