Hi friend,
Both are the PG in engineering.

ME- Masters in Engineering

Both are of 2 Years PG.

The only difference between them is

&
M-Tech-It is given by autonomous & government colleges.
Thank You.

Re: What is the diference between M.E and M.Tech?

Hi !

M.E - Master's in Engineering
DURATION:2years
ELIGIBILITY:should complete U.G(B.E/B.Tech)

M.Tech - Master's of Technology
ELIGIBILITY:should complete U.G(B.E/B.Tech)
DURATION:2years
only the technical institutes give these names...the syllabus for both are same
There is no such difference between the courses and so their market value is also the same.

THANK YOU

Re: What is the diference between M.E and M.Tech?

dear friend,

M.E is Master of Engineering and

M.Tech is Master of technology.

In M.E course is basically a 2 years master's program which is the advanced studies of B.E i.e Bachelor in education.

In M.Tech course is also basically a 2 years master's program which is the advanced studies of B.Tech i.e Bachelors of technology.
In M.Tech it can be on several departments such as:
  1. Aeroscope engineering.
  2. Biosciences and Bioengineering
  3. Chemical engineering.
  4. Civil engineering.
  5. Computer science and engineering.
  6. Earth sciences.
  7. Electrical engineering.
  8. Energy science and engineering.
  9. Mechanical engineering.
  10. Metallurgical engineering and materials science.
On this program you have to learn not only the application but it will train you on that field which area you have choosen.

All the best.........................

The Basic Eligibility Criteria to do this course is that you should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech in any stream.

M.Tech - Master's of Technology

This course is basically a 2 years master's program which is the advanced studies of B.Tech i.e Bachelor of Technology.
Even for this the Basic Eligibility Criteria to do this course is that you should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech.

Course is same and syllabus is same, only name is different

Hi

M.E - Master's in Engineering

This course is basically a 2 years master's program which is the advanced studies of B.E i.e Bachelor in Education.

M.Tech - Master's of Technology

This course is basically a 2 years master's program which is the advanced studies of B.Tech i.e Bachelor of Technology.
Even for this the Basic Eligibility Criteria to do this course is that you should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech.

Now coming to the difference between the two courses, just like the difference between B.Tech or B.E is that after Independence, in India there were only colleges and no universities which provided multiple streamed education facilities.

So the colleges which provided only the Technical courses like the started calling this course as M.E and later when the proper Universities were developed, they started calling and offering this course in the name of M.Tech.

Otherwise there is no such difference between the courses and so their market value is also the same.

Hope this helps

All the best

Re: What is the diference between M.E and M.Tech?

Difference is only the name mentioned for different regions.

Most of south Indian calls as B-tech/M-tech,were as in North region they call B.E/M.E.

Course is same and syllabus is same, only name is different
