Generally lots of company takes their personal interview after taking Aptitude Test . To prepare yourself for this kind of test you must follow the following books...... 1.Quantitative Aptitude by R.S. Agarwal 2.GRE by Barron except this there are so many books are available in the market.You can choose any of the one.Generally from these two books maximum question will come. Now you can apply in different Govt. sector like....... 1.Rail 2.Bank 3.Transport 4.Tourism 5.P.O. 6.Clark 7.Indian Air Force (IAF ) 8.Indian Navy / Indian Sena 9.Indian Army etc..... besides this you can apply in the following aspects..... 1.SSC (School Service Commission ) only for CSE B.Tech. 2.IIS 3.IPS 4.CDS etc.... thanks |

Dear friend, If you are interested in GOVT sector examination Then you will have to fulfill these criteria : 1.You should complete your graduation with minimum 60% marks throughout your academic career. 2.You must not have any active backlog while recruitment. 3.Maximum 2 years of study is allowed here. You have completed your B-TECH . But your graduation marks is must be 60% above because below mention organization have criteria is above 60% in graduation . This percentage is vary from organization to organization. So you have many options to go like govt sector ,private sector or higher study also. The govt sector options are -DRDO , BARC , ONGC , ISRO , NIC , IGDR , UPSC EXAM , BSNL JTO etc.The age limit for those organization is maximum 30 years .Age relaxation provide only for SC/ST /OBC candidate. Another govt jobs are BANK PO , DEFENSE JOB etc. Also you are eligible in private sector also . the private sector company are TCS ,CTS ,IBM,HP,L&T,ALUNUS ,WIPRO etc. The higher study options are MS , MBA ,M-TECH ,JRF ,SRF ,PHD etc. Also you must be qualify in GATE ,CAT,MAT exam. My valuable advice is that you dont apply for bank jobs because even if pass the pass the exam you can be eliminated in interview because u are a BTECH they think you will shift to engineering professions if u get a chance so go for Btech jobs that a wise one |

Re: Government Jobs after B.Tech: Which sectors to apply in? Since you are an Engineering graduate, you can apply for jobs in the public sector. Build up the habit of reading employment dailies. It may help you to know about the vacancies in Government undertakings. It is not so easy to get a career in public sector. Try for jobs in the private sector also that it may help you to gain experience. Having a job anywhere, you can apply for employment in the Government sector. |

Many government job are available for the graduate student. you can apply in the field in bank, railway and many other government job. you can also apply for bank P.O exam after completing the b.tech program. But you can try for: Indian Air force/Army/Navy IES IAS NTPC BHEL GAIL SAIL OIL ONGC Indian Railways etc & a lot of options are there, you should choose any as per your requirement. good luck. |
