Re: MSc in biotechnology or MBA in biotechnology, what's better for career? Hi. I am surya suresh. I hv completd my 12th & i hv decided 2 go for bsc biotechnology. I would lik to work in banks as well. Can i prepare for bank exams along with my bsc? Or it Will b a risk? |

as ur computer application background bioinformatics will be better you can deal with plant genetics database and scientific names, just go through a good project under a recognised guide and university, u will got an idea about research databases, best of luck

i will insist first have some experience related to your interest of industries most probably after bsc like biopharmaceuticals, food industry, etc and later on do a mba in hr or marketing will be benefitted bcoz now a days they demand experience, degrees are not emphasised, best of luck

Since Biology and medical all these are totally research fields, and so more the experience and qualification the better it is for the candidate. Now here I would say, give another two years for the M.Sc in biotech. You would definitely benefit from it. MBA is always a ready option and it also doesn't have any age limit. So you can always go for it later. Otherwise, if you don't want to go for the research work, or medical line. You can do your MBA, and get a fine job in any of the MNC's. It would help you establish a career, but you have to skip your Master;s in Biotech for it. Now you may decide, ultimately what you actually want. All the best Regards RJ |

Re: MSc in biotechnology or MBA in biotechnology, what's better for career? dear friend, msc biotechnology is really good..... most of the companies prefer msc.... but if u dnt want lab work but want to earn quick money without much effort, MBA is very good.....and MBA in biotech should be done n a good institution if u want good placements...... and by the way, its your career and you have to choose according to your interest...... good luck... |
