Re: Can a commerce student join Indian Army after passing 12th? After or during the +2 tenure, interested candidates need to write NDA Exam for the Army wing of National Defense Academy. Candidates willing to join Indian Army through NDA Exam do not need to have studied Mathematics in the higher secondary level. There will be a compulsory paper of Mathematics in the NDA Exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission. For interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) comprise of officers. Candidates are tested on the basis of current affairs knowledge. First of all, aspirants need to prepare bio-data which should have the residence and permanent residence address, schooling, family members. |

The eligibility criteria required for the Indian Army are prescribed as below:- * Completion of 12th with Commerce and Arts from any recognised board. * Age limit:- 16.5-19 yrs. * Sex:- Only male. * Nationality:- Indian. * Marital status:- Unmarried. * Physically and mentally fit. |

 Yes you can join Indian Army after passing 12th with commerce stream if you fulfill the below mentioned : * You must have in the age group 16.5-19 years. * You must be Indian. * You must be a male. * You must be unmarried. * You must be physically and mentally fit. The National defence academy examination is conducted by the Union Public Service commission twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Indian Army, Air force and Navy. The eligibility criteria required for the National defence academy examination is given below: Age Limit Candidate applying for the National defence academy examination should have age between 16.5 to 19 years. Education Qualification Candidate applying for the National defence academy examination should be 10+2 pass. Those appeared in the 10+2 exam or going to be appeared for the examination are also eligible to apply for the National defence academy examination. It should be note that candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have physics and Maths at 10+2. thanks |

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam: Education qualification: For Indian Air Force Academy:You should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university with 55% marks For Indian Army Academy:You should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university. Age Limit: Your age should be in between 16 1/2 19 years. You must have citizenship of India. Only unmarried male candidate are eligible. |

T join in indian army you need to appear NDA(National Defence Academy) exam which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year i.e NDA-I, NDA-II. NDA has three wings: They are: Indian army, Indian navy, Indian airforce. Eligibility criteria: The candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state board. For airforce and navy wings the candidate must have PCM subjects in 12th standard. Age limits is 16.5 years to 19 years and there is no age relaxation for obc or sc/st candidates. The candidate must be physically fit. Important things: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA, Girls are not eligible. The candidate should be a citizen of india. Selection process: Written test, SSB interview, Medical test.
