HI FRIEND,

IPS ( Indian Police Service ) is one of the All India Civil services under the control of Ministry of Home Affairs , It is ne of the prestigious field and there are different cadre's in IPS.

Number Of Attempts :-
If you are Belong to General Category then you will get only 4 Attempts to cracked this examination.

OBC Candidates will gets 7 Attempts.

No Limits for SC/ST Candidates.

Examination Pattern:-

Examination held in two slots:-
i)Paper -I
ii)Paper-II

you must have completed your Degree from any stream in a university or affiliated colleges with a minimum of 50% marks aggregate


Age Criteria :

you must have minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years , Upper age relaxation is accepted if you belong to special category like

- SC / ST - 5 years
- OBC - 3 years
- Defense services personnel - 5 years
- Jammu & Kashmir domiciled - 5 years

The structure of IPS (Indian police services)exam is classified into three steps:
1)Preliminary exams
2)Mains exams
3)Personal interview

I.P.S. exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year..

I.P.S exam is conducted under Civil services exam.

Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream from recognized university.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

There are four stage of selection:-
> Prelims Written Exam
> Mains Exam
> Interview

IPS stand for Indian Public Service Examination and IPS entrance exam conducted every year .If any candidate want to clear IPS exam lots of hardwork and knowledge required.

Education Qualification:- Candidate have graduation degree in any discipline from recognized University/colleges.

Age Limit:- Candidate age Limit not more then 30 years.

Examination Pattern:-

Examination held in two slot:-
i)Paper -I
ii)Paper-II

Paper I consist 200 marks with general science ,economic,Geography and general knowledge of National and International.

Paper II consist also consist 200 marks with question related to communication skills and basic knowledge of Mathematics.

You have done B.A course , and you want to become a IPS officer in future..
Then you have to appear in IPS exam , and you have to qualify the exam..
IPS exam is conducted by UPSC every year to recruit students for police service..

Eligibility for IPS exam:-------------------------------------

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade from a recognized university..
2.Final year candidates are also eligible for the exam.
3.No such percentage of aggregate is required..
4.Candidates age must be in between 21-30 years.
For Sc/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years..
5.Candidate should be a citizen of India..
6.Candidate must be physically fit..


These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
The whole procedure consists of three steps..

*Preliminary exam
**Main exam
***Interview.


So, get prepare for these steps..
After clearing all these steps you will be able to become a IPS officer..

IPS- INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer you have to crack Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC every year. There is no specific exam for IPS.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years.There is upper age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST candidate and for OBC up to 3 years.

The selection is through three stages:-

CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary exam

Civil Service Main Exam

Personal Interview

There is certain prescribed physical fitness test for those applying for IPS.

The Height should be not less then 165cm for male and should be not less then 150cm for female candidate.

The chest should be not less then 84cm for male and that to for female candidate 79cm expandable to 5 cm. for both the cases.

There is no separate IPS Exam for the candidates to be placed in IPS. But instead, there is a common written exam called civil services exam by cracking which the candidates will be placed in various civil services like
-Indian Administrative Service
-Indian Police Service
-Indian Revenue Service etc.

The selection procedure for this will be by
-Civil Services Aptitude Test
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

Here is the required eligibility criteria that a candidate should possess to be eligible for this Exam.

Academic Qualification :
-One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.
-Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation course can also appear for this Exam

Age criteria :
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this Exam.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

As per number of attempts,
-A candidate of General category can appear for this Exam for a maximum of 4 times.
-The maximum number of attempts for the candidate of OBC category are 7.
-There is no limit on the numbere of attempts for this Exam for the candidates of SC/ST category.

As you have completed BA course, if you possess above mentioned age criteria as per your category, then you are eligible to apply for this Exam.
