Re: Merchant Navy eligibility if I do smoking? dont worry i have just passed the medicall of merchant navy and i smoke 20 cigrets in a day.................just b carefull when you are asked for medicall jsut leve cigret 12hour than no one can elimenate you in medicall best of luck |

Re: Merchant Navy eligibility if I do smoking? Medically fit : SMOKING both these are contrary to each other...even though in merchant navy you pass the medical test...Smoking is a habit that is very injurious to health..And smoking from such an early age is an offence... |

Re: Merchant Navy eligibility if I do smoking? Hi, If you continue smoking you are definitely going to fail the Merchant Navy medical test.You must quit smoking for few months before appearing for the test and medical . |

Re: Merchant Navy eligibility if I do smoking? Hi, There is no such rule prescribed that smokers cannot join Merchant navy. If you clear their medical test, then you can join Merchant navy. Thank you. |

Re: Merchant Navy eligibility if I do smoking? if you are a regular smoker then surely you will face problem and can be eliminated in physical fitness test. but in other case if passed then i will strongly recommend you to leave smoking. |

Re: Merchant Navy eligibility if I do smoking? Maybe as smoking directly affects your health. Smoking? Even if they pass you, I would recommend you to quit smoking as soon as possible. As it will clearly affect your health and your career too. If you want a long lasting career then you MUST quite smoking and you are just 19 years so think about it you have more than 3 times of life with you However I would advice you not to smoke before going for the medical test |

Re: Merchant Navy eligibility if I do smoking? Definitely you are facing a problem if you smoke at such an early age.Medical test means that the candidate is physically fit & its a basic need also for the Merchant Navy.So really want to go then try to leave this habit. |
