Re: Will I get placement in engineering colleges after scoring 43.67% in 12th and 35% in PCM? I have got overall 79 % in 12th and 73% in pcm and 86% in pcb .But i have failed in most of the entrance exams.Do i have the chance of getting into good colleges?Will i get good jobs ? |

However, company coming for placement in engineering college either keep 60 % criteria throughout or just see engineering aggregate marks You wont get shortlist for companies with 60% marks throughout as you have less marks in your 12th, Try to get maximum marks in graduation. Many company would take candidate based on engineering marks only. However, you should be able to justify your low marks in 12th during interview. All the best |

I would advice you to do some value added course related to your field and then join any company. You wont get decent salary at the starting but eventually you will start earning good. All the best |

Hi dear, Eligible criteria i.e 12th % depends the exam you writing for campus selection.. for example WIPRO Eligibility 1. Fulltime BE / BTech/ MCA 2. Candidate must have a minimum of 60% aggregate from all years/semesters in your degree. 3. Candidate must have a minimum of 60% aggregate in 10th and 12th. 4. B.E./B.Tech/MCA should be full time ONLY. 5. No backlogs or arrears allowed. but i may vary from university to university but above is the general criteria for WIPRO... AND for Satyam Eligibility Candidate should be a BE/ Btech (CS / IT / EEE / E&C) / MCA / B.Sc / BCA with Consistent first Class i.e 60% Correspondence / Distance education programs are not being considered so you can see for most of the MNC they are considering 60% in 12th class... But since you cannot do anything with that better put hardwork on b.tech.. Thanks |

Also 12th marks matter, but your college marks overlap on your 12th class result in the interview. best of luck |

HELLO, All companies have diffrent criteria for eligibility ....some of company allow only those candidate who have 60 through out (EX. >=60 in 1oth 12th and BE/B.Tech) some of allow thos who have 65 through out...... but there are few of companies they dont need any criteria i means they allow all student who hav done Engineering ..... |

Minimum eligibility criteria for to attend the placements. 1.you need to have the 60% in your 10th,12th and Your degree. 2.First you have to pass all the subjects. 3.Full time BE/BTECH/MCA these eligibility criteria can be varied from company to company. |

So you wont get chance to appear for campus placement. But don't be disheartened you can apply in different companies personally after completing your degree. Also try to not get backlogs in degree. Don't lose hope try hard & after successfully completing your degree you can go for walk-ins in different companies. |

If you get 43.67% in 12th it is very difficult for you to get good college.But if you got the college then it depends on your studies, hardwork and knowledge. Placements depends on the knowledge and confidence of the student that he can do or not. Your marks will not effect the placement. |

So for placement most of the companies not accept this %. So you have to face some difficulties for placement. Because the criteria is not satisfied as per company.. OK..Got it... |

Dear Friend most engineering colleges specify minimum 50% marks in PCM for admissions, IIT JEE requires 60% marks, BITSAT need 80% agrregrate marks. As your marks are very less you may be unable to get admission in good government colleges. Please explore the possibility of admission in some private colleges through management quota. |

Most of the institutes accept applications of candidates who have scored above 60% overall. Also it is important that the candidates should have scored above 60% in qualifying subjects. Since you have a low score in these subjects it looks like engineering is not a stream suitable for you. You need to analyse where your strength and select an appropriate stream accordingly. |
