Re: What is the eligibility for TGT exam? Dear candidate, TGT stands for Trained Graduate Teachers. The minimum age should be 21 years. TGT exam is conducted by UPMSSCB ALLAHABAD. You should have completed 4 years integrated course of the subject with 50% from any recognized university. TGT Subjects are: 1. TGT PHILOSOPHY 2. TGT ENGLISH 3. TGT MATHEMATICS 4. TGT CHEMISTRY 5. TGT PHYSICS 6. TGT SANSKRIT 7. TGT LIFE SCIENCE 8. TGT HOME SCIENCE The exam pattern should be: 1. Mathematics 2. English 3. Reasoning 4. Science 5. Indian constitution 6. Re: What is the eligibility for TGT exam? TGT stands for Trained Graduate Teacher. The important criterion for applying for the post of TGT is a graduation degree. If you want to get in to the post of TGT English, you should have completed your graduation from a recognised university with English as an Elective subject. Also you should complete your graduation with a minimum of second class in the concerned subject area. You should check if the Open University degree is approved by DEC. You should attend the CTET exam for getting an eligibility as TGT which is conducted at regular intervals and attain a good score in it. Proficiency in teaching in both English and Hindi medium is important. The upper age limit for this eligibility is 35 years |

Teachers having B.Ed Degrees or other teacher training certificates after graduation are called Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and these teachers are eligible to teach in junior classes in school. TGT or Trained Graduate Teachers should have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a recognized University with 50% marks or above in aggregate as well as in the concerned subject for recruitment and B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized University. Eligibility Criteria of TGT entrance exam : you are eligible to apply for TGT entrance examination after complition of Graduate and B.Ed from recognized university. your age must not exceed 35. you have to clear the entrance exams and interview sucessfully,before this you have to apply for written examination. This exam is conducted by upsesscb Allahabad and the educational qualification needed for this is that those who have completed their graduation are eligible for TGT exam. The Minimum age criteria to appear in this exam is 21 years and there is no upper age limit for this exam. Scheme of the TGT examination is: The exam is divided into three pars and they are: Part -1 1) General Awareness 2) Current Affairs 3) General Science & Indian Constitution 4) Reasoning 5) Quantitative Aptitude 6) Teaching Aptitude etc 7) questions and the medium of the question paper will be both English and Hindi.
