Graduate with Engineering in electrical, mechanical, civil, EC, CS etc then can apply for Engineer trainees, Management trainees, junior engineers jobs in PSU Like ntpc, nhpc, bhel, sail, gail, ongc, iocl,hpcl, bpcl, coal India limited etc etc in govt sector Or in TCS, capgemini, accenture, infosys, wipro, mahindra, adani wilamr, ruchi soya, Chicago pneumatic, L & T, ingersoll rand, bajaj electrical, videocon, samdung etc etc all are excellent companies of private sector with facilities like govt sector…. But it depends on your aptitude also as this branch is now very competitive as there are many of them who have opted for this branch. there is so much scope for a IT engineer.u can see many jobs related to your field.there are also many jobs are present in public sector.so u have many choices to get a job. there are many job in govt. department like bsnl sales tax dept. income tax dept. navy miltry bank an entrance paper is must for public sector job so u can give this entrance paper and get a job very easily. |

Public sector jobs and exams? recently although the market for IT student is not so much good as earlier but till it is in secure position. now also lots of opportunity is waiting for B.Tech IT student. recently a few number of student taking admission in IT field. as a result after two or three years there may be shortage of IT student. then IT engineer will get a good facility. now i will suggest to do higher education. appear in GATE examination and after that try to do M.Tech in IT field. now for IT field jobs opportunity is there. so many company hire B.Tech IT student. also some government job is also available for IT student. a few company thise recruit IT students are TCS WIPRO IBM INFOSYS CTS and many more company. also you may join in indian defense, indian railway, BSNL jto in these government services. but in SAIL probable B.Tech in computer science student may apply. but i think B.Tech in IT students are not eligible for SAIL. but do not worry. best option is higher education. also you may do job if you are interested in job. best wishes. |

There are lot of govt. jobs availabe for B.Tech(IT) such as :- 1) Cabinet Secretarial Govt Of India Jobs Post :- Deputy Field Officer Educational Qualification :- Bachelor in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ IT. 2) New India Assurance Company Limited Post :- Administrative Officer (Scale I) Educational Qualification :- 50% in BE/B.Tech in IT/CSE Stream. 3) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Post :- Associate Server Maintainer Educational Qualification :- BE/ BTECH (Telecommunications/ Electronics/ Computer/ IT/ Electrical). 4) Also you can try for Railway, Bank jobs etc. But as no. of vacancies in govt sectors are very limited so prepare very well for those jobs. For private sectors you can try for TCS , Satyam, Infosys , Wipro etc. |

Hi friend IT branch is meant for basically private sector since more and more companies accross india are interconnected to each other by this. If you want to make career in gov. sector then do search for technical assistant , they do require ECE and Comp / IT candidates. Networking is also a best option in this. You can post your resume for govt. job as a networking engineer. |

Public sector jobs and exams? hello sweta, sorry to say that there are very few scope for the IT student in public sectors. because most of the public sectors try to opt core department students, & there are very few seats for IT students, so you will face a high competition there. so it is better for you to take chance in private sectors because now a days market is in the state of booming. & as per your confusion about SAIL, you can only appear in SAIL after completion of your B.Tech degree, but not before completion of your degree. good luck. |

They can work as software developers; software engineers, system analysts etc.There are many public sector jobs offered to Btech (IT) proffessionals.You can appear for IES exam (Indian engineering service) and get a government job. You can also attend CDS exam and work in defense. You can appear for Civil service exam also. |

There are jobs in railways, national banks, health clinics departments, scientific research centers etc..
