BUT in the first semester my result was so poor..i have got supply means back in three subjects. I have a dream to read btech....Can i take lateral entry after my diploma course???...Will these result effect to dat???pls.suggest me nd help me..I m very much confused nd dipressed..pls.help me. |

Re: After diploma private b.tech dear friend, A diploma holder student can take direct admission in B.Tech in 2nd year. But for taking admission in any college you have to appear in entrance exam like WBJELET,AIEEE & other state exams conducted for diploma students. kindly take preparation for these exams very well & after getting good rank you will sure get good college for B.Tech . good luck. |

Re: After diploma private b.tech dear friend, You can take admission in B.Tech. 2nd year directly as a lateral entry student after your diploma. There are a number of good private institutes offering B.Tech in various streams. just like WBUT, BPTU, UPTU, PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, PRIVATE UNIVERSITY OF M.P. etc. all the best. |

(general lateral aptitude test examination).you should think that private college is not good.now a days lots of private colleges are there which have good infrastructure.faculty,placement cell,like VIT,KIIT etc. best of luck........... |

It is really good to know that you have done Diploma and you have not wasted any time after 12th and this is also a good decision that you want to to B.Tech..... You can take admission in certain institution after appering for the entrance exam such as the AIEEE ,WB-JELET and like this............ After cracking the exam you will be called for attending the counselling then you can take admission as the lateral entry students...here you will get the direct admission in 2nd year .... So try for cracking the entrance exam then you can surely do the B.Tech... All the best.. |

Private btech is a total wastage of money and time. And one more thing if you want to do private btech then also contact your nearest region university, because there is no rank provision is considered in private btech i.e. a particular college's private btech degree has a higher placement opportunities, this case doesnt exist at all. |

For that you will need to answer an entrance exam but there are some colleges who take admission through you final year percentage. Anyways try to make you basics strong of your IT course and also some maths basic and fill up few entrance tests like KCET,Thapar,Manipal,IPUCET etc Best of Luck |

This provision is popularly known as LATERAL ENTRY Some of the leading colleges that offer LEET are; Indraprastha University, New Delhi St. Longowal Institute of engg and tech., Punjab Cochin University, Cochin KIITS Orissa VIT Vellore Hindustan Institute of Technology, Chennai Apart from that the Kerala state conducts separate exam for lateral entry.
