Re: Why is the Reservation System Still Active in India?

hi friends,
reservation is not provided to sc , st or obc only because they are poor .
SC and st people were considered as untouchables and were discriminated from society for more than 2000 yrs. Even their references are in ramayana & mahabharta.
Means you can say that SC ( ati shudras ) and ST ( tribals) didnt got any chance of improvement in so many centuries. According to population SC are almost 15% and St are 8 % of total indian population. Thats why they are given that much percent of reservation. No doubt reservation has improved life of SC, ST peoples. Still there are millions of Sc,ST people who live in very bad condition and most of them belongs to rural part of india.

Re: Why is the Reservation System Still Active in India?

When our became free from The English, there is a very big problem in India that is caste system.this problem is from our early age, but when constitution started to made in India. There made 6 fundamental rights, in one of them is Right To Equality. But the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe and other backward caste are very low in their clothing, shelter, eduction and in financial condition also.

So this law is made to equal everyone by every means whether it is shelter, education or clothing etc...... But if see the result only a few people who are belong to these conditions get profit of this. And all goes to that people who are dealer or belong from political group.

Reservation is active in India due to following reasons:-
1- Political Crisis
2- Corruption
3- after 65 years of independence there is also discrimination is not uprooted.
4- OUR CONSTITUTION IS VERY MUCH RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS because the law that are made equal treatment all HUMAN BEINGS IS not so strict and they cannot write what happens if all becomes equals. whether it will remove or not.

reservation is the suppression of real talent. the one who actually deserve the best has to settle with whatsoever s/he gets because of the reservation system. even open category candidate can be economically poor but is brilliant and still s/he doesn't get the admission in good college having fees affordable to the candidate. so according to me this is one of the major issues related to the reservation that has to be given a mindful thought.

Yeah ,

Reservation System is still active

there is divide talk on this topic

Reservation system in India is proposed by some eminent professionals like

Dr. B.R.Ambedkar

and all

they made these because to encourage the scheduled Tribes and castes

but the un eligible persons are taking the benefits of the previlage provided by the govt.

most of the govt related exams have the same reservation system

There are many pros and Cons equally

but talent of the candidates should not go into lust if they are Reserved Candidates or Un Reserved Candidates

Regards

Dear friend

you are raising a good question but it is totally vain because Indian politics has become the politics of vote politics.Leaders only want vote from these categories but they do not take care that whether the right person is benefited or not.So, friend do not think about it and mind your own business.
Thank you

Re: Why is the Reservation System Still Active in India?

your question is legal because so many people are benefited only because they belong to sc,ST,OBC. reservation should be provided only to poors and not on the basis of sc,ST,OBC. it is the reservation which is hampering the growth of country because so many talent are getting wasted because they are general. not sc or st. governnent had started reservation only to raise the status of these people(BPL) but they are needed to again look after it.

See the reservation process was adopted in India only to raise the weaker sections of the society initially but as the time passed this system became totally corrupted as people started misusing it for their benefits.
Those who are really needy do not get its benefit instead other xeploit it for their personal benefit in every field.
Now there is no any political party who can even think of dissolving it as no any party will dare to loose their vote account.
Caste system is deeply rooted in India and its very tough to come out of its shackles.
The reservation is further step of caste system only
