There are many students who wish to be an engineer and want to do their engineering from good colleges and universities. So,keeping this in view,colleges conduct engineering entrance tests for admitting students. There are many engineering tests conducted in our country for various colleges. The most commom of all these are IIT-JEE and AIEEE because after passing these exams,you can get admission in an IIT or an NIT which are considered as top engineering colleges of our country. I am listing some of the engineering entrance exams below:- 1.IIT-JEE. 2.AIEEE. 3.COMED. 4.WBJEE. 5.BCECE. 6.BITSAT. 7.VITEEE. 8.DCECEE. 9.UPTUEE. 10.VITEEE. 11.Orissa JEE.,etc. You can appear in these exams just after your 12th board exam. You are required to secure 60% in your 12th. However,the eligibility criteria changes from college to college. However,there are many colleges which admit students directly on the basis of 12th results but mostly,those institutions are not considered good. I hope you are satisfied with the answer. Hii this is Rhydham Karnik i m also in 12th and want to inform you that the Indian Goverment has planned for All India Level test for each and every student of India who has plassed 12th but now problem is that it would be such that it has to be dicsided by the state wether they want to conduct or continue with their respective CET exam so pray that your state Goverment accepts the proposal. Hi Yea sure there are many Entrance Exams which are organized and conducted by the various state boards and other technical colleges and universities for the selection of students. Now in a country like India, there is a huge population and so due to this competition all the government and private colleges had to introduce the competitive exams so that they can filter the merit candidates and give good seats and admissions to them. Now as you asked, yes there are many Entrance Exams in India. Some of the top most and most attempted Engineering Entrances in India are :- 1. IIT JEE 2. AIEEE 3. DCE CEE 4. UPTUEE 5. BITSAT 6. WB JEE 7. COMED K 8. SRMEEE 9. VITEEE 10. MHT-CET. etc and many more... So you have to fill in for all these wherever you are interested in taking up your Engineering course. The Basic Eligibility Criteria to apply for the Engineering is almost common for most of the Entrances. You have to be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India having scored over 60% aggregate in it. Also Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects. Some entrances need you to be a domicile for that state. BITS Pilani asks for the minimum 75% aggregate. Similar other minor criteria's are also there you can check when you fill up for them. It's organized by CBSE. As per AICTE rule you have to get a minimum of 50% in physics, chemistry and mathematics for this one. for more info visit this website: www.aieee.nic.in/ you can also give iit-jee and other state entrance exams. for that you have to open their respective websites and see whether its domicile or not. best of luck  hope this helps

You need to have a minimum of 50% to appear for this exam. Till 2012 there exams conducted at the national level as well as state level. There were also exams conducted by universities separately too. So students had to appear for many exams to keep their options open. Now there is a move to keep a single exam at the national level. All colleges will have to accept this score. The same is not finalized so you will have to check for updates regularly. |
