IPCC is the inter level of Chartered Accountancy course. Graduate students can directly apply for IPCC if-
Commerce graduate have 55% marks
Non commerce graduate have 60% marks

Since you have less than 55% marks you cannot directly apply for IPCC exam. But you can do IPCC if you pass CPT. It is the entrance exam for CA. Thereafter you can register for IPCC .

Re: Am I eligible for IPCC without CPT exam after qualifying B.Com?

Hello friend...

CPT is the entrance exam for CA course it will conducted twice in a year
i.e. in the month of June and December
you have to register first to get the seat in CPT exam
if you have appeared for +2 level exam or completed the +2 level exam then
you can give CPT
as if you completed graduation then need not to give CPT exam
you can appear IPCC exams directly after registration.
To appear IPCC it has certain criteria they are...
you should completed your graduation with minimum 55%
you should completed the graduation with commerce stream
if you are from non commerce then you should obtain 60% in graduation...

Good Luck...

Will the registration number of CPT be the same for the students who have registered to IPC?

the basic requirement is that the individual should be:
• graduate
• secondly, should qualify the CPT exam before.
• If a final year student then he/she cannot attempt for the exam as he/she has to be a graduate.
• Suppose he /she doesn’t clear CPT then he can still appear the IPCC

Re: Am I eligible for IPCC without CPT exam after qualifying B.Com?

Hi friend..
CPT is conducted as an entrance test of CA course and is conducted twice in a year, once in the month of june and another in the month of december.
You can give CPT if you have appeared in your 12th exam or you have passed your 12th.The registration fees for CPT is Rs.6,000/- and after registration, you will have to apply for CPT exam just before one month of exam.
If you have completed your graduation, then you are not required to give CPT and you can directly appear in IPCC exams.
However, there is certain eligibility criteria that is to be fulfilled by you even if you ahve done your graduation.
You should obtain at least 55% in your graduation if you have done your graduation from commerce stream and your perentage should be at least 60% if you are from non-commerce stream.
So,since you have completed your B.Com,you should have secured 55% in your graduation. If you have secured so,you are eligible to directly join IPCC group.
For that also, you will have to register with ICAI.
The registration fee is Rs.12,000/-.
Best of luck.
Thanks.
With regards-
Vikas.

Common Proficiency Test has been set as the minimum standard to check the students aptitude for Chartered Accountancy course, however the test is most likely to become mandatory only for undergraduates from the upcoming years as per the proposal which is yet to be approved. But till the Proposal is not approved by the union government, the Common Proficiency Test will remain mandatory for every individual willing to pursue Chartered Accountancy course. No matter whether you are a graduate or you hold a masters or any other professional qualification, unless you qualify the test, you will not be considered eligible to enroll for the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) of the Chartered Accountancy course.

For further information, refer to the official website of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
