Re: What is the qualification required to become IAS?

For your kind Information i want to tell you my friend that IAS examination is divided into three stages. First there is PRELIMINARY test. Second there is MAINS and at last there is INTERVIEW.
As far as the qualifications are concerned you should be a graduate in any field. Percentage really don't matter. Your nationality should be Indian. For general student the maximum number of attempts for clearing IAS is 5. And for other categories it is extended up to 7. Age of general category students should be between 21-30 years. It should not be more than that. For other categories there is also age relaxation. You can get the complete information about these relaxations and other information from the UPSC website i.e www.upsc.gov.in.
Thank you.

Re: What is the qualification required to become IAS?

It does not really matters which stream you belong to as they just look for graduates in any discipline from a recognized university.

Your age should be between 21-30 years.

At the most you can attempt for four times.

Selection procedure includes preliminary exams, main examination followed by interview.
