Re: Number of attempts for IAS Exam?

For IAS exam the number of attempts are different for various category candidates.

For General category - 4 attempts

For OBC Category - 7 attempts

For SC/ST Category - no limit in attempts

Thus if you belong to General and OBC then carefully use your attempts. You should only apply when you are fully prepared otherwise you will waste your attempts.

For SC/ST category candidates there is no such limit and they can appear till their age limit exceeds.

Also make sure that you fulfill other eligibility criteria like educational qualification ,age and nationality.

Graduates from a recognized university are eligible to apply and you must be an Indian citizen.

Age must be between 21-30 years if you belong to General category. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST is available.

Selection will be based on the marks in the Preliminary , Mains and Interview.

Re: Number of attempts for IAS Exam?

HELLO DEAR

To be eligible for this exam, you must in the age group 21-30 yrs (relaxation for reserved category). Number of attempts are also limited, 4 for general, 6 for OBC, while SC/ST no limit.

Firstly, you have to cracked the preliminary examination, this examination is objective one and there are two papers in this examination and you have to appear for both papers in same day. If you cracked this examination, you are eligible for Mains. For Civil service examination, you need to choose two optionals for Mains exam

This examination is conducted in these 2 stages, preliminary examination and Main examination

GOOD LUCK
